shadows....and light....

shadows and prints....
human...and dogs....

tree shadow in the snow....

tree shadow in the melt down....
it was so nice having the sun out...
and the big melt down...
unfortunately they say more snow headed our way...
well maybe it will help with the mesquitos...and other pests....
Are you a fan of Valentines Day?
Do you expect flowers...card...candy...jewelry...
or do you prefer a homemade note...and a big hug?
Is Valentines Day too commercial?
I love all the decorations and the sweetness of it...
but I would rather have a homemade card and a big hug
from my Valentine...
I always love the Valentine school parties with the kids...
and the fun treats and gift bags....
and of course I love sending out cards....for all occasions...
My Papaw every year bought Mamaw the biggest box...
heart shaped of course...the guadier the better of chocolates...
but I don't remember her ever doing the same for him...
What was your favorite Valentine surprise?
Inquiring minds want to know.....

It looks like you got just the right amount of snow, enough for some fun but not too much trouble.

At least now I know why I'm so tired all the time. I hope your son gets it figured out too. My husband did the test years ago and had to re-do it at home because he couldn't sleep at the clinic. He ended up having sinus surgery.

I don't like Valentines because of the commercialism and the "expectedness" of gifts/cards, etc. Would rather be surprised with something any other day of the year...

I think Valentine's Day has gotten too commercial, too. I suppose if you are young & dating, it can be exciting...or disappointing. For me, there is plenty of hugs & kisses & "I love yous" everyday to last me! I'm pretty low maintenance!

I'm not very into gifts for Valentine's Day. I do feel like it's too commercial. I don't like the idea of someone feeling like they have to buy something for me because it's a certain day. I've gotten flowers before, but, I think my favorite was getting a big bag of conversation hearts. I love those things.

I'm not a big fun of Valentine's day! Some bad memories I won't go into! lol But I do love you're header! And I may even make a Valentine cake for grandkids. I guess you could say I am planning on making new happy memories!

Everyone is expected to send a card, give a gift, buy a dinner, etc for Valentine's Day. It's way to commercial for my likin'.

But---if I don't do something meaningful, it will definitely be noticed. So---what do I do? Treat he to the same ole same ole dinner out? Give her a Valentine card that cost $5? Sigh. Isn't there something that is creative and different I can do this year?

Great post!

I love the prettiness, which is conjured up, by Valentine's Day.

But I do not *do it* much, myself.

I can't eat chocolate and flowers are too short lived, to be worth the price. It's not a biggggggg day.

But this year, we have a plan.

Because of my health issues, we never have had our New Year's Eve bottle of "Bubbly." -sigh- Well, Valentine's Day, we are planning on it! :-)

Hugs and ♥'s...
'Cause Valentine Day is coming!

Yep snow for us too but I don't think as much as you thank goodness. lol
I hate the thought of more on the way. I am a summer girl myself.
Valentines Day is fun for the very young more than the older. Trading them at school with friends was always the best.
Even though I always got flowers from my hubby and candy but he did that more than just on Valentines.
Love
Maggie

I'm not expecting anything for Valentine's Day. We're just not that into it.

More snow and ice tonight, good grief!

Nice pictures. More snow coming our way too. Nothing but hugs around here on Valentine's Day. We are not much on celebrating. Hugs

Deb, is it snowing in Dallas yet? Hopefully, it won't be as bad as last week. Love your light and shadows post! I always enjoy your camera perspective. Stay warm and safe!
