Another one in the books...

another recital is in the books...
our 20th one....
this is the 1st one my daughter didn't perform in...
she was strictly teacher...
it was an awesome show...
It was one of our "adopted" daughters last show...
she graduated from high school this year...
and will be off to college this fall...
she is like our own daughter...
she is our daughter of the heart...
we are so proud of her...
"Family" doesn't have to mean by blood...
some times family in the heart has just as strong of a bond..
it was an emotional day for me...
our little britches is one year old now...
our daughter of the heart is moving forward...
watching another "adopted" daughter dance...
seeing the progress she has made...
knowing that great things are headed her way...
seeing a third "adopted" daughter work hard
to get back to dance..something she had given up...
but now realized she misses so much...
she had the courage to ask for another chance...
and the determination to do the work to get that chance...
watching teenagers perform...that were once
babies in classes my daughter demonstrated for...
seeing the babies my daughter teaches...
and wonder how far they will go....
our daughter is leaving on a big adventure next week...
going to another country to study dance and Spanish...
on her own...not knowing a sole....for over a month...
our son is an awesome Daddy...
watching him with little britches makes my heart swell..
all this makes a sappy Mom and Oma weepy...
but a good weepy...

I understand the good weepy....all great things, but they can still bring a few tears.

You have every right to be proud....and weepy! Watching 'kids' grow up is both a wonderful and heart wrenching experience!

Just looking at these photos, you know it was a fun show and fun for the participants too! And of course, a big thank-you goes to the TEACHER, for this!

Lovely post. Combining many joys, in your life.

Gentle hugs,
~♥~

It sounds like things are wonderful in Deb's world! The recital looks like fun. How exciting for your daughter to get to travel! Congrats to your "adopted" daughter on her graduation as well! Have a terrific week!

P.S. I can't believe little britches is one already!
