National Nap Day

Today is National Nap day....
I could use a nap today...
after loosing an hour of sleep...
how bout you?
So if you decide to take a little nap...
you are just celebrating the holiday...
no guilt...
Sunday started out raining and yucky...
but turned out to be a nice day...

We took Rooster to the park...
I wore my rain boots....
I splashed around in the puddles...
nothing more fun than splashing in puddles..
especially when you don't get all cold and wet...
My wonderful Mom invited us for an early dinner...
she had made her chicken soup...
that I love dearly...
she made a pan of cornbread...
it was a wonderful meal...
my daughter even got to join us..
thank you Mom for the wonderful food and visit...
all the flowers are from her garden...
does anyone know what this plant is?
it was a present from the birds...
don't you just love the unexpected gifts they bring....

I have a huge honeysuckle arbor in the front planter - courtesy of the birds!

I don't know what the plant is but your mom's flowers are beautiful. I miss your mom. I think I'll call her and see if she can take in a movie with me tomorrow!

I think this was the perfect day to make "National Nap Day" because of us losing that hour. It's perfect.

I think it's a sweet Pea.

Of course I wanted to be the one to say it was a pea - but alas I am too late. So, did the birds drop it from their mouth or...never mind? Last night I kept thinking "I am not sleepy" today was quite the opposite.

Such a perfect pink rose! I wish I had known it was National Nap Day because I would have taken advantage of that.

I had no idea we have a national nap day. Not a bad idea, though, while we're getting used to the time change.
Your plant photos are lovely. Your yard must be bursting with spring.

National nap day huh? I was thinking of working in the yard today but now I may have to take a nap to celebrate the holiday. lol

Your mom's flowers are so pretty. Sounds like you had a wonderful visit and some yummy food.

When I first looked at the last plant I was thinking it is a sweet pea but I don't remember ever seeing a sweet pea plant with leaves like that. It still could be one though or at least from the sweet pea family.

Hugs!
