Nolan was ready with his yellow ducky for our outdoor chores, we always have to play ball or chase the duck
Got the sprinkler out yesterday to start watering the lawn, it was such a nice day, and it has been awhile since we have had rain, maybe I will get a jump on green grass this year

This is a must read
http://susiesbigadventure.blogspot.com/2009/02/still-she-smiles.html
I came across Susies blog from Skywatch friday, this is one of her posts and with her permission I felt I needed to pass it on to you all. Life is very diffent in Saudi Arabia, and this little girl in the story leads a much different life than the 6 year olds in America. Have a tissue ready you will need it..... This is a mascara alert...... After you read it, let me know what you think...

Desert
For desert I made a fruit salad

I used red seedless grapes

Cut up 2 oranges, and apples

I drained a can of Doles pineapple chunks (helps the apples stay fresh), added walnuts and stirred to mix..... yummy
Loretta also spoke of oatmeal cookies, well these are my father in laws favorites, so I decided to bake him some.... I cheated and bought the Betty Crocker, but they are very yummy...

Beef Stew
I was inspired by Loretta over at Under the Wild Cherry Trees to make a beef stew for sunday dinner, thank you Loretta.......
First I chopped up onions and sauted them with beef broth
First I chopped up onions and sauted them with beef broth
Then I added my stew meat
I cooked the stew meat with the onions, beef broth, pepper and chilit powder for about 2 1/2 hours to get the meat tender
I cut up baby carrots
Diced potatoes
I put the green beans and carrots in first and cooked about 20 minutes then added the potatoes
