Sunday morning we were loading up to go to the lake...

we were trying to keep it hid from Rooster...

we were going to leave him at home...

he wasn't going to let us get away with it...

 



Hotrod and I were taking a load out the gate...

Rooster pushed right through....

headed straight for the truck...

he was getting in...no matter what.....

 

Hotrod was excited he went....

he loves Rooster....

Rooster is very patient...waiting....waiting...

for Hotrod to throw the ball....



 

it was nice at the lake...not crowded....not too Hot....

lot's of waves...a new fascination with Hotrod....

soon as he saw a boat...or Jetski...

he would announce...the waves are gonna come Oma...

get ready...

Pawpaw took a few photos of Hotrod and I...

we had a great time....

Rooster and Hotrod were pooped out...passed out...

on the way home....

Today was a crazy Monday....felt like I ran all day....

but I don't feel like I got anywhere....

Please say a little prayer for my brother...

he is having a test run tomorrow....

I got all of the photos from my photo shoot edited...

will pass of the disk tomorrow...

 

I was happy...I didn't have a lot of edits to make...

mostly just put my name on them...a few crops...

I played in PicMonkey with Black and White...

added a few effects....

 



2 year old Photo Shoot...

I was a little nervous for my photo shoot....

I haven't ever met the birthday girl....

I haven't seen the Daddy in at least 14 years...

he went to school with my son...

we keep up on Facebook....

I didn't know what she liked...or if she would be shy.....

 

 I pulled out some props...costumes...

girly stuff....not knowing what would work....

she's turning 2...

 

 the park is always a great place to shoot kids...

being kids...that is the way I like to photograph them...

just being themselves...

 

 I had a blast with her....

she got used to me following her around...

we bonded....

 when Dad finally quit telling her to say cheese....

to smile and look at me....

things went great....

 

 

 I even got some great photos with Dad....

ducks always help too....

 

we also went to the petting zoo...

it is located in the same park....

 

it was fun photographing a girl....

their is definitely a big difference....

boys...and girls....

both fun in their own ways...

Hotrod spent the night last night...

we were up bright and early...

loaded up(just the 4 of us)....Rooster included...

headed to the lake...

we had a blast....3 year olds are so fun....

here lately I'm all about Random...

seems my thoughts tend to go Random...

 



1. I have been wearing my hair in braids...

and pigtails a lot lately...so humid...

51 years old...guess it's okay....

even had compliments on them...

so glad I don't worry about what everyone

thinks now days...so freeing...

2. Hubbies trying to figure out how we can pack up and move to the beach...become beach bums...

I told him when he figures out how we can hang out on the beach all day...still make a living...

and move the entire family there...I will get on board...I'm not sure fishing and sunning all day...

will pay the bills....



 3.  Hotrod has a new word....WHY????

and I can't seem to come up with the right answers...that will pacify him...one answer leads to another why...then another...and another...

 

 

4.  we checked out a bunch of Dr. Seuss books

at the library....I love Dr. Seuss...his books

really make you work hard when reading them

out loud...and keep you guessing to the end...

 

5.  My Mom found a cool  dining room table at a little antique shop...it is a pedestal table...

she got it and 4 chairs for under $140.00...

she now has a fall project...

I met her to pick it and the chairs up.....

Bubba (my truck) comes in handy....

she got in her car...the battery was dead...

so I called my son....he came to the rescue...

helped unload the table....loaded up her old

table and chairs for his house...got her car

started...off she went to get a new battery...

we took the table and chairs to his house...

fit perfectly in his kitchen..

now they have a breakfast table...

I just love how things work out for....

families...aren't they the greatest....

my daughter wants to take some of my photos...

print them and frame them to hang up at her house...

now that really makes me feel good...

she tends to like the quirky photos the best...

 



Hubby had so much fun fishing out in the ocean...

he spent a lot of time out there....

The old man in the sea...lol....

 



there was no shortage of Sea Gulls...

every where you look...every where you go...

and of course I took hundreds of photos of them....



they really are interesting birds...

we even saw a black bird that made sounds like a Gull...

must of lived with them so long...

picked up the lingo...

you know how when your around people...

before you know it your picking up their accent...

using their lingo....



 

Took Hotrod to story time today...

we haven't been in a long time...

their was a new librarian doing it...

he really enjoyed the books...the songs...

they even had a little craft...

todays theme was the sun...

she had a picture of a sun...

tissue paper cut up in squares...

and they got to glue it on with glue sticks...

 



I actually went to the grocery store today...

to buy a full bill of groceries...

we've gotten into the bad habit of just running to the store...

grabbing the easy...quick...(not so healthy stuff)...

so today Hotrod and I went...

we bought healthy....

Hubby and I cooked dinner together tonight...

chicken breasts...fresh corn on the cob....

squash casserole...(from our garden)...

tomatoes and cucumbers...(from our garden)

avocados...on sale......
very tasty....
I made some lemon....lime...cucumber...mint water...
very tasty and refreshing...

I get tired of just plain water...

so it's fun to add a little pick me up to it...

Hotrod likes apple...cinnamon water....



 

 I have a photo shoot on Saturday....

I'm really excited it's a little girl...

a young man my son went to school with..

his daughter is turning 2...

I've got a lot of ideas...hope they work out...

he laid down on the blanket to take it...

I like it...very quirky....

 

well I woke up this morning my rash was worse...

my face was swollen up...my neck was swollen...

my eyes were swollen...I looked like I had been in a fight...

so I went to the Dr. first thing....

he said I probably came in contact with something...

caused a reaction....

so I got a shot....a steroid pack...and Benadryl...

the swelling has gone down some...

I don't look like a balloon head....

a bright red balloon head....

 



I got lot's of advice on facebook...

everyone had a story...everyone had a thought...

everyone had a home remedy or cure...

I tried Apple Cider Vinegar....not a good idea...

it stung...and really smelled bad...it is still a mystery...

but improving...so that makes me happy....

 



we saw some amazing skies while at the coast...

it is starting to get really humid here...

the heat is returning...we had a thunder shower for a while tonight...

 



the hermit crabs...Hermie and Euwa...

making themselves at home in their new digs...

I think my daughter is more excited about them than Hotrod...

he will watch for a few minutes...

then he gets bored with it...

I think my daughter had redecorated their home a dozen times...

she had a couple of hermit crabs when she was little...

even one from Galveston...

saw a few dolphins in the distance...

some times they come close to the boat...

Monday was a rainy day here in Texas...

we were in the 70's all day....

very unusual...once we heat up again...

will be super humid...

I've developed a rash...

it is spreading...started on my chest...

now it's on my neck...shoulders...face...

I have had lot's of advice from my Facebook friends and family...

I'm going to go to the Dr. to get it checked...

it is itchy....red...warm...

I didn't get a sunburn...so I don't think it's sun related...

I'm thinking I'm having an allergic reaction to something...

we will see....



The Getway...

 We did it..

Hubby and I loaded up the rental pick up...

headed South...

we got a later start than we wanted...

but we were on the road...

everything went smooth...traffic easy...

until we hit outside Houston...

it was slow.. bumper to bumber...

it always is in Houston...

 after we got away from Houston...

it was smooth sailing down 45....

we were staying in Seabrook...

which is a small city on the bay...

Nasa Space Center is located there...

lot's of boats and yachts....

 



Saturday morning we got up bright and early..

we were on the road at 6:15 am...

headed to Galveston...

we decided we liked it much better...

more things that we enjoy there...

we spent the day there on Saturday...

went back to our hotel late...

got up early Sunday...packed up our belongings...

checked out of the hotel...

headed back to Galveston for the day....



while in Galveston we spent most of our time at the State Park...

we have a one year pass at all Texas State Parks...

so it was free to us...

Hubby waded out into the ocean to fish...

I played on the beach...

sunning...relaxing...taking photos...

picking up shells...

He caught several nice fish...but released them...

all on a rattle trap lure...

the other fisherman couldn't believe he was catching fish

on it...I'm thinking it may become a new trend there...

we got back in last night around 8pm...

missing the ocean already...

but happy to back to see my Hotrod...

we brought him back 2 hermit crabs...

they are now named Hermie...and Euwa...

more beach stories...and photos to come...



 Sunshine....

a little Rainstorm....

makes for high humidity...

 

 the plants sure love it....

they were all hanging there heads a bit....

the little bit of rain perked them up...

 

 I'm looking forward to my weekend adventure...

Border patrol is on duty...

caregivers are set to go....

our Son and daughter will take over the business...

time to enjoy....
