I love crayons...

as a kid I was always so excited to get a new box...

I was extra careful with them...

I would spend hours with a box and a coloring book...

they just don't make coloring books like they used to...

now they have all the dot to dots...

puzzles...etc...

my daughter never understood why she had...

to use a certain color in a certain space...

she liked to do her own thing...

she still does...a good trait....

 I actually got to sleep in until 7:15 this morning....

even went to bed at 10:00 last night...

a much needed rest....

 

 Saturday was spent doing chores around the house...

not fun stuff...

I had dish pan hands by the end of the day....

this was done in between answering phone calls...

can't be without air conditioning in the Texas heat...

 

 Hotrod came over for a little while last night...

so his Daddy could run a service call...

we filled up the pool..

all of us got in.....including Pawpaw...Rooster...

Ginger was the first in...

she had to make sure the water temp was just right...

she didn't get back in once we were all in...

she likes a pool all to herself...

 

 we are having family dinner tonight...

Hubby is boiling shrimp...with potatoes and corn on the cob...

Homemade ice cream for desert...

a little break before the new week starts...

 

 Hotrod has a way with the ladies...

he had C playing cars with him...

putting on a show for her....

at our photo shoot...

 

 he had to get in on the action at the photo shoot...

he is so used to be the star of the show...

with a camera in his face since he was born...

 

 

he was having a blast playing peekaboo in the sculpture...

 

 Don't worry...this was all part of the act...

 

she wanted photos with her Mom also...

Mom was not so happy about joining in...

which seems to be a trend amongst Moms...and Oma's...

I'm trying to change that...

I would much rather be behind the camera...

but I know....my family wants me in them....

it has been a long...hard....hot week....

but this was an awesome experience...

 Finally....got to do a photo shoot for our pretty girl E...

her Senior photos...she will be headed to college soon...

 

I think she is a beautiful model....

 

 we got started early...but in Texas...

it's HOT...even early in the day....

you couldn't tell by her beautiful smile though...

 

Friends...more like Sisters...

C on the left will be a Jr. in college this year...

E on the right a freshman...

we are so proud of these girls...

they are hard working...sweet...thoughtful young women...

I feel privileged to know both of them and their families...

 

 Hotrod had to get in on the photo shoot...

My niece received her package...

I did text her to find out...she received it the night before...

had planned on calling me that day...

she lives in an Apartment...some times the mail delivery is slow...

No more  Email problems...still apologizing to everyone...

 

 

 

it has been quite a day....

I woke up extra early this morning...

so I decided to go to the office early...

get started on my pile of paperwork....

 



I turned on my email account...

sent an email...then my account closed...

when I logged on again...

it said suspicious activity on my account...

reset your password...

so I did...the message kept coming up....

I tried to find a number to call AOL...

well one was to another country...

wanting to access my computer...

nope wasn't going to do that...

tried resetting my password...a dozen times...

finally after wasting atleast and hour and a half...

I found a good phone number...

it was taken care of in a few minutes....

then the fun began....my account had been hacked...

I had 72 emails....of mail be sent back to me...

I had people emailing, texting... me letting me know...

they had received crazy...email from me...

so I spent quite a while...apologizing...and explaining...

now why do people hack accounts???

most people realize they are spam...

and never look at them...just delete them...

so all it does is cause havoc for others...



technology can be oh so grand...

but it can also be a major pain in the backside...

Tomorrow will be a better day...

I have a dilemma.....

I sent a package to someone...

I made them a photo book...

I mailed it last week.... Locally...

It should have been there on Wednesday...

I still have not heard from them...

Do I call to see if they received it.....

The greatest show on Earth....

 This is our first visit to the American Airlines Center...

wow it is super nice...we went to the 10:30 show...

Ringling Brothers Circus...

Hotrods very first circus...

Our first since our daughter was small...

 

 Hotrod wanted to pet the lions and tigers...

He was overwhelmed at first...

so much going on...

then he had a blast...

 

 our seats were up really high...

but we had a perfect view...

we had a row all to ourselves...

no one walking back and forth in front of us...

 

 would you like to dance with Tigers???

 

I love family days....

I had fun watching everyone enjoying the show...

 

 The animal acts are always my favorites...

 

 I'm thinking we need to start a show....

with Rooster...Ginger...Hatari...

and even old man Nolan...

he could be the Ringmaster....

 Today is Friendship day...

Happy Friendship day everyone...

 

what's a Circus without elephants....

 



 Today was a work day for me...

paper work...I have mounds of it...

I got quite a bit done today...

the phone only rang 1/2 as much as usual...

 

 tickets are purchased...and printed....

we are going to the Ringling Brothers Circus...

Hotrod doesn't know yet..

he's on a need to know basis....

I can't wait to watch him...watch the Circus...

The whole clan is going...

 Hotrod caught a big fat toad yesterday...

it is living under a bale of hay by the garden...

he just walked right up and snatched...

 

My Aunt found a box of family photos...

she has been emailing copies to everyone...

I love old family photos...

times have sure changed with photography....

 



all these beautiful roses came from my Mom's garden...

taken back at the beginning of July...

she sure has a way with roses...

I do too...but not a good way....

well I'm off to get a good night sleep...

gonna be a busy time at the Circus....

I decided to put my other two blogs on vacation...

a big relief...it was getting to be a chore...

and I would feel guilty if I didn't post...

the other day Hotrod and I watched Super Why...

a cute little show...that works on early reading skills..

the kids on the show were talking about what

they wanted to be when they grew up...

I asked Hotrod..."what do you want to be when you grow up?"

with out a minutes thought...

he said an Ice cream cone cooker Oma.....

no idea where he came up with this one....

we were at the Dollar store the other day...

we were checking out...he was standing next to me...

three teenagers walked up behind us...

they kept inching closer...

he turned around and told them...

you are standing too close to us...

I told him it was okay...

"They are not suppose to stand that close Oma..."

the teenagers didn't even pay attention...

the clerk laughed...

he's really big on rules right now..

it's all black and white....

I filled it up with water...

Oma had to get in too...

I have become a Face Book addict...

now that I can do it on my phone...

it is just way too tempting...

standing in line...waiting at the bank...

while Hubby is watching TV at night...

15 shows at the same time....

I'm trying to wean myself away....

too much tech time...not good.....
