My garden has not fared well this year...
with the spring floods lost most of my garden...
then the drought...well lost a lot of plants..
but my Zinnias and marigolds have been troupers..
beautiful in the spring...
beautiful in the fall...
the rabbits and chickens love the marigolds...
my basil has done well too...
another favorite of the rabbits and chickens...

 I now have 7 chickens....
2 rabbits...
one dog...
5 granddogs...
3 grandcats....
it's a zoo around here sometimes...
the 3 cats don't come to visit...but all the dogs do...

I have good intentions to blog...
but it just seems like there are not enough hours in the day...
I think about all my blog pals wondering what they are up to...
I do manage to get around and visit every now and then...

I feel truly blessed to be so busy...
I also enjoyed the weekend of rain...
it gave me an excuse to stay inside...
to get some projects done...
today is National I love you day...
what a nice day to have...
Ready for Halloween...

Peek a boo....

II love early dismissal days... We get to spend more time together...
The weather was perfect...the calm before the rain came in...

Stringbean is growing like a weed...
I wish I could put a brick on his head and slow him down...
We still get to enjoy our picnic table time...I love listening to his day...he is like a sponge soaking up knowledge...
I don't get to take as many photos of him with my Canon camera ...so when I do I go overboard...I do get a lot of cell phone photos but they aren't the same...
Thank you everyone that checked in on us Texans...we have lots of flooding but we are safe here.... What a year...flooding...drought...back to flooding...

Sunday I had the privilege to take photos of my nephew and his beautiful wife..
Baby Oliver is due in November...
They were such a easy couple to photograph...

Dance Dance oops

My daughters adorable dancers...
I always look forward to working with these girls...
They are full of energy even after a full day of classes....
Now for the oops moment...
Some times I get wrapped up in shooting photos and loose track of my surroundings...
That is what happened...I had bumped into the horses tail so I moved over to adjust...I didn't realize there was a plaque on the ground...I tripped...fell backwards...hit the back of my head on the hard marble...hit my elbow trying to stop myself and my camera flew out of my hands behind me...my first question when I sat up...did I break my camera???
Thank goodness no it didn't get a scratch....Me...a goose egg on the back of my head...tender elbow and a sore body...being the hard head I am..I finished the shoot...amazingly enough the photos turned out good...I was really worried because I was pretty shakie the rest of the shoot...my daughter drove me home...Hubby kept a close eye on me... Who knew photography could be so dangerous...
