Worked hard....

Worked hard...
and rusted....
got to spend most of the day with my new grandson...
took them to his Dr. appointment...
all went well.....

Fast..and high steppin......

fishing...caught a couple of small catfish...

bet there's lot's of fish under here...

my husband went back to get bait...
and a cotton mouth slithered past him...
needless to say it didn't take me long to get away from there...

I walked fast and took high steps....

nothing like a snake to get you moving...

except a rodent.....

Unique in it's own way...

one's man's trash is another man's treasure...
or it could just need to go to the scrap metal yard...
I like the shapes and textures.....
and you know me I see things alot of people don't...
that vivid imagination....
one of these days I will figure away to put it to good use....
so whether you see trash or treasure...
you must admit it is all unique in it's own way.....
Have a wonderful Saturday....

Becoming a grandparent for the 1st time....

Becoming a grandparent for the first time is an exciting and a little scary event. When you are first told the news you immediately start thinking. What will you be called, there are so many grandparent names, and will you have a traditional name or one that only a grandchild can come up with. You start remembering the experiences you had with your own Grandparents. You remember the experiences you had with your own children, will it be the same or a whole different world. You start listening to the grandchildren stories of your friends and family, all the while wondering what your experience will be like. You start planning the things you want to do the same as when you raised your children, and what you would do differently. You start accessing your home to see if it is child friendly and make mental notes of what will need to be changed. You imagine what it will be like to hold your grandchild for the first time and know that you are there to love them and protect them, but their parents are there to raise them. You wonder if your child and spouse will raise them with the same morals and standards you raised your children with.  Tomorrow I will meet my first grandchild....Please send up prayers that the delivery goes well...and Mom and baby will be safe and happy.....

What do you see?

I thought of a razor back hog when I saw this one...

this reminds me of an aligator head....

I thought of an Aardvark when I saw this....

so what do you see???

Footprints and other artsy fartsy stuff...

the dogs and and I were tracking through the water...
and I noticed our footprints....
so....being the blogger I am...
I took photos...
had to be quick...
cause with this heat...
they didn't last long..

and then of course...
I had to have one for my header...
Aunt Amelia...gave her approval...
this post is dedicated to you...
it is what she  calls Artsy Fartsy...
hope you enjoy.....

I like the way the sun shines through...

my swing....

morning glories in the afternoon....
the leaves are alot bigger than last year...
I didn't really notice until my son mentioned it...

fans are working overtime....
down here in Texas....
this one has gone to the junkyard heaven...

it's grabbing hold and reaching for the sky.....

So what did you think Aunt Amelia?

Clouds...

Loving Clouds
How I love to watch the clouds

Peacefully, peacefully drifting by

Silently upon the breeze

They ease across the clear blue sky.

How they build and roll and tumble

Just like angels out to play

Dancing with the sylphs and fairies

Head o'er heels along the way.

Each new shape is quite amusing:

Puffs to great majestic towers

Building for their loving gift

To bless the earth with vital showers
