At first I thought these were mocking birds...
but I don't think they are...
what are they????
look closely and you can see one in the tree...
they blend in really well
they seem to love the berries also...
a male cardinal...there are usually 2 together and a female...
this time he was alone...
he was busy going from one place to another...
the wind was blowing his top feathers....
he was such a pretty fellow....
my Nana always told me if you see a cardinal you will have good luck..
so everytime I see one....I feel lucky....

Hi, Deb, the cardinals here are singing to stake their territories. I have even seen a couple!!

Those birds look like mocking birds to me...they are just like the mocking birds we have here. Those cardinal pictures are great! Hugs

I hates to argue with your Nana but... We have lots of cardinal sightings around here. If that were true, I'd have lots and lots and lots of good luck.
But I have more snow, instead.
