do you ever have one of those days???
mine started off that way....
I needed to run to the store this morning...
before little britches showed up...
my keys were no where to be found...

well the day before ...I had gone to the bank...
rolled my window down.....
it wouldn't go all the way back up...
I told my son about it....
gave him my keys...he was going to fix it for me...
this car had belonged to my DIL...
he had done this a couple of times...
well he got a service call...someone with no heat...

(well guess where my keys were...
he found them in his jacket pocket when he got to work...)
so I borrowed my daughters car....
it was 24 degrees this morning...
had to defrost the wind shield...
ran to the store...got the items I needed...
went to her car...put in the key...
the door would not open...
I heard it make a click...
but it did not unlock...

now remember it is COLD...
put the key in..take it out...
numerous times....
I even checked to make sure I was at the right car...
my Mamaw got into the wrong car one time...
couldn't figure out why the key wouldn't work...
thought maybe I was loosing it...
call my daughter...no answer...
still asleep...
the girl could sleep through a hurricane...
put the key in turn...take it out turn...
well heck...guess I'll call hubby...
the minute I dialed I tried one more time...
the door unlocked....crazy...
my daughter said nothing like this has ever happened...
thank goodness the day got better...
even got to get out for a little fresh air today...
did me and little britches some good...
we were both getting a little cabin fever...

Losing keys is frustrating enough...one that won't work would be even more frustrating. I am glad it all worked out and that the day ended well.

I cannot stand days like that! Then after it's all over I kick myself for getting so frustrated. It sounds as though you handled it all with much more grace than I;))

Very pretty photos! That is way too cold to be trying to get into the car! Glad it finally worked.

There must have been something in the air in Texas - I actually locked the keys in my car while trying to retrieve more drinks to put at the concessions stand at my son's basketball game. Hubby had to leave work early!

Glad you finally got in and your photos are fantastic!

forgot to say, my Saturn Vue, when the temps get cold, the hatchback will not stay up. it works fine unless it is below 48 so maybe the cold is why the key would not work

I sure hate it when a day starts out like yours did.....
Do you think the cold caused the problem?

Goodness! I hope you got to enjoy a tall mug of hot chocolate and a good, long nap after your rough morning.

Oh don't you just hate days like that. Glad you got sorted out eventually though.
Anyway I love all of your pictures. A lovely splash of colour.
Thanks for your visit. :)
