Day Trip...

Tired of being inside after the week of cold...
Hubby, Rooster and I decided to take a little trip...
we headed to one of our favorite spots...
Cedar Creek State Park...
the lake where we spent a lot of time this summer...
one thing that we had been wanting to explore was...

Penn Farm we never seemed to go this summer...
so I layered on the clothes...packed up the truck....
and off we went...

we had a good time exploring the old farm....
the hand crafting was amazing...
we thought about all the hard labor...
blood...sweat...and I'm sure a few tears...

it was fun poking around the barns and buildings...
thinking about the people and animals that had once used them...
Rooster enjoyed all the smells....

this is a working windmill...and it was sure spinning for us...

Hubby said I think we have someone watching us...
sure enough....a buzzard was checking us out...

we saw lots of spider webs...
after we explored the farm we headed over to the lake area...
more to come....

Great series, Deb!! I love that spiderweb!! The buzzard is a bit creepy - maybe because he is sitting in the doorway...

A great tramp, to get the kinks out, after being closed up inside. :-)

Ohhhhhhhh, that buzzzzzzzard!

Anyone can go to this old abandoned farm? You've probably told us about it before, but...

Happy New Year's Eve, to you, my Dear Blogging Friend!

I love that place! We used to go there fairly often and I LOVE the smell/feel/ of it all! Makes me think if I try real hard I could BE there - back in time!

Thanks for letting me visit again through your experience!
