Doesn't make sense to me...How bout you????

I was watching Fox News this morning and they were discussing the difference in prices on products for Men and Women....like shaving cream...the price for Women's is almost double that for a man....same ingredients...and usually the women's is a smaller quanity....what about women's razors...they never last as long or work as well...but cost more...my daughter and I buy men's razors....they work better...and last so much longer...they were showing Midol and Excederine...same ingredients...but guess what....the Midol costs more....When my husband and I were 1st married he had a bad toothache and headache....he went to the cabinet and took something for it....a little later he was feeling better...I said what did you take... he said Motrin....I said we don't have any Motrin...he went and got the bottle...it was Midol....see it works on men too....he wasn't bloated either (LOL)

A lot of things if you look at the store brand and the name brand....same ingredients..sometimes made by the same company....you are just paying for the Name brand....usually work the same....a few don't...but just think
how much you are saving in the process...

What product or products have you found that work just as well as the higher price....or even better????

Share your finds with us....

G'morning, Ladybug...
Is it as cold in YOUR part of Texas as it is out here in West Texas? brrrrr

My daughter is a registered nurse and is the one that told us that "store brands" had the same ingredients as the TOP brands..so we started buying the less expensive years ago.

STAY WARM!

I always buy store brand pain relievers when I can. The shaving creme thing is crazy! I have noticed that too.

I always buy generic (exact same ingredients) where possible. Seems to work just as well.

It is not fair that they charge more for women's products, but I'm sure it's because women shop more than men and most men will just buy anything where women are usually a little more particular. However, I too buy store brands and generic. It's the only way we can "protest" against the name brand companies.

Hi Deb,
I am a big Midol user...But from now on you bet I'll be comparing the ingredients on the less expensive stuff. Thanks for the info...By the way, love the story about your hubby and the Midol :-)
Have a wonderful day.

Great post & so true! I stopped buying name brands a long time ago....it's amazing how much $$ you can save! And instead of shaving cream I use cheap brand hair conditioner like Suave - so silky & lasts forever!
