Saturday adventure

I've been wanting to take a photo of
this trestle for a long time....

so since the sun came out we hopped
on the Honda....and went to take photos...
we came off the service road...and down
the embankement....

Hubby took this one of me...
I got my photos....
we rode about 40 miles total...
just out sight seeing...enjoying the nice day...
decided to stop for a little lunch...
it started sprinkling about the time
we pulled into the parking lot...by
the time we got inside it was raining...
and it rained for over an hour...
we just took our time...ate lunch...
enjoyed talking...then it was time to go...
it was still raining but not too hard...
so we got on the bike and headed home...
in the rain....believe you me those drops
hurt when they hit you at 35 mph....
thank goodness I wore my ski jacket....
it is a little water repellent....when
we got home...we were like this....

wet....it's hard to see how wet the
front of his jacket is...but it is....

and my pants are cold and wet...

especially the backside.......

my socks were soaking wet under my jeans...
but it was fun....and I got some great shots
of the train trestle...nice lunch....good
conversation.....and a story for my blog...LOL....

Yes I agree, wet pants are cold. I rode a bike for years, then one day laid it down on a highway and took the skin (deep) off my arm and decided that it was time for me to hang it up, but I had a great time while it lasted( 6-7 years).
Be Safe. Great picture of trestle.

I love the pictures Debbie!
Especially in b&w, it looks so surreal. I bet you were chilly but it is -15 this morning with wind chill. I am FROZEN! Hugs, Cindy

Well you know it is all about the photo... and the blog story, LOL.

It was a great shot BTW.

It's wonderful that you and your husband get out and do fun things together, even if the end result turns out to be a little chilly.
Cool looking trestle.

I think you deserved a hot bath after all that riding and all those puddles you made on the floor:)

It sounds like such a fantastic way to spend the day minus the rain. You really were soaked!

It does sound like a fun day! Even with the rain. The pictures of the trestle are great too, I'd say it was worth it!

Well, you got the photos - that's the important part - even if you get pneumonia, right? JK!

Looks like fun, altho a little chilly. Hey, you're coloring outside the lines, flying by the seat of your pants. You go!

What people do to get a photo! Sounds like you had fun, tho - in spite of your personal puddle at the end of your trip.
