thought I would share some photos of Big D....
tried to look at it as a tourist...
like I would if I went to another city...
we get so acustomed to our own cities...
that sometimes we miss out on the actual beauty...
the sky was blue and made a great back ground...
hubby and I were coming back in from a little road trip...
in the truck..not on the motorcycle...
so what do you think of Dallas?

Can't beat the shopping and dining in Big D. Great City!
It is nice to take a look from a tourist prospective. There are so many things to do and see in Dallas that I have never experienced and it's right here in my backyard.
*big d* is fabulous whether it's cloudy, sunny, raining...it's the BIG D! yay!!!!
I love Dallas but I have to say I've been lost more that once on the downtown exchanges!!! My favorite thing in Dallas is the light! It is totally different light than we have in Kansas!!! Your photos are great!!!
Its definitely a city I would so love to visit and explore! Beautiful buildings.
Cool shots! I especially liked the building with all the windows & the (?)arches on top.
I'm not a city person, so I don't have a lot of appreciation for concrete, glass, shopping, and lots of tall buildings. But Dallas does seem to have some beautiful architecture and I really like your angles and artistic ability while photographing it.
Oh! One thing I do like about cities, I must admit, is public art, like sculptures and murals.

Hey, you were up in my neck of the woods! I'm sure a tourist would find Dallas a bit more interesting. I drove to work there for years and years, and when I left, I didn't leave anything behind, so I don't have any reason to go back.
Hi Deb! I agree that you can live in a place for years and not really see it. I have also noticed how things look so different through the lens of a camera. I was at my cousin's recently in California, and after taking pictures of her backyard (on my blog), she commented that "I made her yard look beautiful". All she could see was the improvements she needed to make, the camera saw the beauty.
