Wildflowers....

Wildflowers...

Wildflowers grow on their own...
the birds and wind are how their seeds are sown...
brilliant colors some maybe....
attractive beauty for the eye to see...
where did they come from?
you don't  need a green thumb....
just watch them grow....
and love them so....

Pretty. Most of our wildflowers are gone now. Since we have warmer weather than most states, our spring comes early. Our wildflowers are best in March & April.

I have an old picture of my mom, with her mom and on the back is written,
"in a field of Texas bluebonnets". She loved them!

Take care, Sue

Great poem Deb, There is something special about wildflowers I agree.
They seed our medians here where I live and it is so pretty each spring. I wish they would last.

I LOVE wildflowers!!!

You in TX, must love Lady Bird Johnson's memory, for her being sure you have so many, to enjoy, in your state.

I always imagine myself strolling gracefully through a field of wildflowers. And then I remember my allergies. Drat. There is no grace in sneezing your way through a field of wildflowers.
