Re-evaluate....

going to 2 funerals in one week...
sure makes you stop and think..
kind of assess your life....
you know sometimes you just run through life...
just blowing and going...and you really miss out...
at times like these...you re-evaluate your life...
I want to make more of an effort to enjoy life..
to really live life...not just run through it...
I need to make more time for the important things...
stop and smell the roses kind of things...
spend more time with the people I love...
find people I haven't seen in years...
have more fun...enjoy every day...
not just rush through it and mark off my list
of things to do....enjoy the list....
enjoy the days....before a month has passed...
and I don't know what happened to it...

Beautifully said, Deb. I think we all would like to go thru life this way, but it rarely happens.

My condolensces on the losses in your life this week.

I'm guilty of "marking off lists" and looking ahead instead of enjoying each day as it comes. Thank you for this reminder that no day is ordinary and we should savor every moment.

I'd like to thank you, too, for the sweet comments you leave for me at Southern Lagniappe. It means a lot to me that you enjoy my stories and pictures.

I haven't been able to check in all week, sorry it's been such a tough one. I read back a few posts to see what was up. At least those "awww" moments help us keep our perspective when life is hard.

Glad work is good. It's 4 am here now and my ac just kicked on! I think it's set at 80! Not good sleeping weather. I don't care how hot it gets during the day as long as it cools off at night!

Inspiring words..even though they came out of sadness.

That's the same kind of lesson I try to take, from people's passing. We are alive! Pay attention!
