This, that and the other...

yep...still over 100.....
(I know it's a little fuzzy...even my camera feels dizzy)

took this at my Mom's yesterday....
the heat doesn't seem to be effecting it...
some one was throwing this chair away...
so she snatched it up....
you can't sit in it but it makes a great planter...

 and the heat continues...

my father in laws new friend....
it belongs to the neighbors ...
but spends most of it's time at his house...
it gives him something to worry over...

a cardinal stopped by also....

did I mention...
the heat continues....

even the birds need a little cool off time...

What is your favorite time of day and why???

my favorite time of day is early morning when the sun is just coming up...wondering around the yard..watering...feeding the birds...inspecting the plants..watching the dogs play...quiet time...

about 60-90 minutes before the sun sets! the shadows are long, the colors are more intense, and the temperatures begin to cool. ahhhhhhh.

My favorite time of the day is in the early am. No one else is awake and all is quiet.

Wow, it's hot in Tx! Are you as ready for fall as I am?

Hope this finds you in a cool spot today - Smiles - Denise

I'm with you, Deb. The first light of day... quiet... peaceful. Love it. I like sundown, too. =)

I'm a morning person too! I love to have my coffee outside (not in August). It's going to be a long hot month!

I'm tempted to say that my favorite time of day is 4:30 p.m. when I leave work, but I really love the evenings around sunset best.

Haha! Love the guinea hen pet. How wonderful that he adopted it.

Boy oh boy! I'd melt in that heat. Is that with or without humidity? gak!
We had the heat wave in June with temps in the upper 90's, but so far the rest of the summer has been in the mid 80's during the day and low 60s at night. And zero humidity, too. Thank goodness! We have no A/C, so we can't bear those hiugh temps here.

I love that cheerful yellow chair! A planter is a great idea to give it a second useful life. The fern looks happy there, too.

Favorite time of day: The mornings are cooler to be outside, but I'm not a morning person. So, I'd have to say that evenings are my favorite time of day. Tonight I brought my horse out in the yard to handgraze on her fresh grass. It was quiet and cool as the sun went down. Very relaxing.

I love twilight...

But can't go out in it now, because I'll be eaten alive by bugs. Drat!

But I love how the lowering sun sheds a golden light, across everything. "Painting" even grass and leaves, with magic.

Is that a wild turkey running through the sprinkler? That is so funny!
