Irving Symphony part 2....

 It's a wonderful Life....
wouldn't be Christmas without this movie...
the sounds they can make with their instruments...
just so amazing....the violins were incredible...
and the percussion is my all time favorite...
both of my kiddos did percussion in school...

 our friends enjoying the show....
wondering why I'm always snapping their photos....
(they aren't bloggers)
intermission time....
Can you guess where this music is from?
listen carefully....go ahead play it again if you need to...
sounds familiar....
it....
is...
from.....
don't peek.....

Your friends probably think you're crazy! The music soundtrack from Home Alone is one of my favorite Christmas CD's. You gotta love It's a Wonderful Life. I tear up at the end EVERY time!

"It's A Wonderful Life" Me... I hate it and avoid it like the plague. :-) But our youngest son, simply LOVES it. Has to watch it every year. *Makes* his poor wife watch it too. -grin-

Now "White Christmas" is a keeper. And "The Bishop's Wife" and "The Man Who Came To Dinner." I probably like the last 2, because Monty Wolley is in them, and he was a native of my city.

Oh and for Cary Grant in "The Bishop's Wife," of course. And the hint of impropriety too!!!! Ohhh yes!!!! -giggles-

Let me explain, my comment above.

I dislike "It's A Wonderful Life" with all the angel stuff.

I like "The Bishop's Wife" because of its underlying impropriety.

BECAUSE my ding-dang religion, make me never be able to enjoy "The Bishop's Wife"! [Sinful suggestions!] Until I was old, and thought for myself.

Those kinds of religion imposed 'no-no's' leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I had not even seen It's a Wonderful Life until I met my Husband some 25 years ago. It has become one of my favorite holiday movies.

Yeah, people who do not blog never understand why those who do bring a camera EVERYWHERE they go! LOL.

It's a Wonderful Life is our family's all time Christmas favorite movie. We watch it together every year--my daughter even bought my husband a coffee table book about the movie one Christmas.

I love It's a Wonderful Life. There was a movie made that is kind of a variation on the theme called The Family Man with Nicolas Cage. Gets me every time. The critics didn't like this one - but they never like what I like!
Were they playing Home Alone on that big screen while you were listening to the orchestra? We just went to see Wizard of Oz with the Salt Lake Symphony playing all the music. I have never seen or heard anything like it!!
Have a great Christmas Deb!

"The Griswolds' Christmas Vacation" with Chevy Chase is one we watch every year. My husband's hero is Uncle Eddy. Terrible, I know. I'll have to listen to the Home Alone sound track. You have me interested! :) Merry Christmas!

My daughter HAS to watch Miracle on 34th (32nd??) Street EVERY Christmas and now they like that crazy silly Elf movie. Me, I don't really have a favorite Christmas movie... seems there'a always so much to do and I'm so tired, if I sit down to watch, I fall asleep! LOL! I do love Rocky Mountain Christmas though.
