This was my Fourth of July decoration....
Now it is a Christmas decoration for my office...
a little Texas flair...
these boots were my daughters...
she was 6 and wanted red boots for Christmas...
so of course Santa had to get her some...
well we had opened all the gifts...
and I was putting things away...
well I found a wrapped box in the closet...
Santa had forgot to put the red boots under the tree...
well being Santas helper...
I quietly put them behind the tree....
and asked her to make sure there wasn't any more
paper or trash that needed to be thrown away...
she found the box...
and you should have seen her face...
she didn't think she was getting her red boots...
she wore those things with everything...
dresses...shorts...jeans....pj's...
thankgoodness her feet grew slow...
she got to wear them for quite awhile...
now they are my decorations...

Awww! How cute! I think every little girl in Texas has either had or wanted red boots at some time. Sadly I was raised in Wisconsin so missed my chance. And I prefer black boots now with my jeans... :)
How funny....glad you found them when you did....cute, cute boots
Great story/memory, to go with your cute decoration. :-)
How sentimental and sweet!
A decoration with a good memory is the best decoration. The red boot and all it represents is very cute.
Awww ... that brings back fond memories of our daughter when she was two. She loved her red boots and I have a picture of her asleep in her crib with her boots on. You were smart to keep your daughter's!
What a sweet story, and very cute boots. :) They make for a great decoration, I like the creativity.
