Happy Birthday to my Lady bug....Nana

February 2nd 1914 my Nana was born...
today she would have been celebrating her 97th birthday...
this was taken in 1985
with her daughters....

this was taken on her 90th birthday...
still pretty as a picture...
as some of you might know...
she was the inspiration for my Ladybug from Texas..
there is not a day goes by that I don't think of her...
she is always in my heart...
and every ladybug I see...I know it's a sign...
Nana's watching over....
I thought I would give you a little gift...
she made these every Christmas...
for the great and great-great grandkids...
(the grandkids and kids managed to swipe a few)
enjoy and think of my ladybug when you make them...

Welcome Superbowl fans....Texas is having a iceparty for you...
don't you feel like your at home....looks like we might have more Texas like weather

Great pictures. Brings back memories of my wonderful grandparents. I loved them so much and wish they were still with me. Thanks for sharing this.

Yeah, you would think that with this global warming thingy going on, it would eventually start to actually get warmer.

Happy Birthday to your beautiful Nana! Thanks for sharing those glimpses with us!

It wasn't as bad here as predicted, rain & sleet, yes, but not too much. Hopefully that is all for this week, lol!

Awww, such beautiful special memories of someone beautiful inside and out.

I do have grave concerns about Global Warming. It doesn't actually cause the entire world to have warm temperatures, but actually causes disturbances caused by damage to the ozone layer and warming of the atmosphere, which causes weather problems all over the world, such as cold temps where usually it's warm and warm temps where usually it's cold.
It causes cyclones and hurricanes and ice storms, and so much more.

We've studied global warming via homeschooling and have learned so much.
