thank you to every one checking in on me...
we had quite the storms last night here in Texas...
lightning...thunder....hail some baseball size...
rain...winds and tornado sightings...
the clouds were amazing...
I tried to get photos of the lightning but couldn't...
and the hail starting hitting so I high tailed it to the house...
we lost power for 5 or 6 hours...
so we didn't have a clue what was going on...
thank goodness for cell phones...my daughter was at work...
they had power...so she kept me up to date...
my son...my dad...and my mom all checking in...
we were fortunate....people all around had damage...
my daughters windshield was damaged but no other damage...
I'm going today to get a battery radio just for these things...

I was wondering how your area faired last night. We did not lose power, Praise GOD!! It was pretty bad. I was scared. Now to go out and tackle all the clean up!
Your pics are wonderful! I saw lightning strike a house 2 doors down. It was scary!
What beautiful clouds...but the power in them heh? Those black ones look pretty scary!! Glad that you didn't get any more damage!!
So, so happy your and yours are safe...a windshield can be replaced, you cannot!
Oh Deb! I didn't know!
Was just reading Linda Chapman's account of her storm. Now you. -sigh-
Yes, be prepared with those in-case-of-storm items. We have such, more for in winter, because up north, ice can cause power outages, in winter.
And the pics you got, are ominous. Look at that almost reddish color. When one sees that, you know it's not, not, not good weather around.
We can;t have any thing happen to *Our Ladybug From TX*! Can't! So there! I'm putting my foot down. Can't! :-)
Gentle hugs,
~♥~
It's amazing that something so beautiful can be so ominous! I can't believe how the southern states are getting bombarded with that all. Maybe you want a "cooler getaway"?....
I'm up here.
North of you a bit;)))
i took some photos of these clouds too. they were fascinating, weren't they? sorry you lost power. we kept ours (thank goodness!)
Glad you all are safe! Your clouds remind me of what we were seeing yesterday in our drive in Oklahoma last night. We had one part we could almost touch the clouds!
Sorry you lost power for so long, but glad you are safe. Storms like that are so scary! I have never seen baseball size hail--and hope I never do!
So glad you all are safe. Sorry about your daughter's truck. Hail can really tear up things. Keep staying safe. Hugs
I'm so glad things are back to normal now. That must have been really scary.
The cloud pictures are stunning.
Maybe we can go to bed tonight without the threat of them again!
Glad you did okay. SO MANY nasty storms!!
Glad you made it through with no major problems. Wow, baseball sized hail is significant. No wonder the windshield was cracked! Nice to see the sun come out after a big storm.
Those are some crazy cloud pictures. Scary!
So glad your all ok Deb~ I have had a sick feeling in my stomach all week long just from watching the news.
And I read your post below too! My favorite subject in HS was history and cheerleading! hehe. I probably loved cheerleading the most but history was good too!
Hugs to you and grandbaby too!
Cindy
great sky pictures!
Well, you just need to send your thunderstorms to Newfoundland - my younger daughter moved there 6 years ago, and that is the one thing she misses. But I agree - hail like that would be scary!
