I had heard there was a pumpkin shortage this year...
you sure couldn't tell it here...
they are a little more expensive than last year...
but seems like so is everything else...
Walmart has them for 3.88...nice sized ones too...
little britches loves pumpkins...
I bought him one of the mini pumpkins at the grocery store...
he's been dragging it back and forth from home...
to Oma's house...we thought we lost it this morning...
I sure was hoping to find it...
didn't want it to go bad some where...
we found it in a box....
another one of his favorite things to play with...
how's the pumpkin crop in your area....
do you like to carve or decorate them?
or do you like to leave them as is?

Wow look at all those orange pumpkins!!!....Looks great!
I am glad to hear they have them at a reasonable price at Walmart! I have not been there yet. I have NO pumpkins on my front porch....YET!! They are nearly $9 at Sam's. Hope to get some by the weekend. Always love your posts and pics!! Happy FALL!!
glad you found his 'toy'. :)
Think it was all the rain we got over here...... That hurt the pumpkin crop. No excessive rain there, so... :-)
Oh wow yes! Find the object which goes from home to Oma's to home again! I remember taking care of Kate, and every day her father had to lug 2 bags of toys, over here with her, and back home in the evening.
Oh and if by some change, a particular fav toy got left at home, Daddy had to leave work and go get it and bring it.
-grin- Thank you for the lovely memories, which your post bring back to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Btw, Kate is 19 and a Sophomore in college now. :-)))))

I love pumpkins! I love to look at them, decorate and eat them.
Our church has a pumpkin patch each year as a money making project for the youth of our church. It looks so pretty, and doesn't look like a shortage at all.
Little Britches is growing......he's precious!
when we had kids in the house, i loved to carve them and so did my mother. now we don't buy them at all. but i did see a pumpkin soup on a blog, using one of the medium ones, by cutting it in half, baking for an hour, and scooping it out and making into soup. we have Hunsader Farms here and they have a gazillion of them and have a month long festival at the farm for the kids, with petting zoo and crafts and shows
tell my friend Rooster, he needs to come up with new tricks because Little britches is taking over the CUTE of the blog.... i love the way the sunbeam is on his shoe.
The price is way up here in NY, too. They are even more expensive at our Walmart. When C was young we always had one and carved it. Since we don't get many trick or treaters in our area, I usually just get one for her dorm room instead.
We've been painting them. Allyssa is a ladybug. (A couple of posts ago) I'm working on a sports one for Nicky I will post pictures as soon as I get it done! We like the little pumpkins.
