we started the day with a little rain...
but it ended up being a really nice day...
hopefully the weather will hold for our fun walk...

with Texas you never know...
Sunday night we had sleet...
Wednesday it was 78....
I'm so happy to see a lot of bloggers are dropping
the dreaded word verification...
I promise I am not a robot...

29 years ago I was.....
getting ready for my wedding...
our wedding was planned...put together...
with in 2 weeks...I'm sure you will guess...
but I didn't have a big ole wedding...
we decided on the 19th because...
my birthday is March 19th...
so we made it easy on my hubby...
anniversary...birthday...
same number...two months in a row...

We had a nice little small wedding...
at my Mom's...
Thank you Mom...don't know how you pulled it off...
with a few close friends...family...
my Nana was there...
my wedding dress was actually a prom dress....
my brides maid wore a dress she wore to her cousins wedding...
my hubby did wear a white tux...so handsome...
the best man....my brother in law...
wore a flannel shirt...blue jeans...
had a beard...he was working 70 plus hours a week at that time...
we were just happy to have him there...
no rehearsal dinner...no rehearsal...
no bridal showers...no engagment parties..
no bachelor or bachelorette parties..
no professional photographer...or DJ..
but a nice ceremony....with the ones we love...
no honeymoon either...straight back to work on Monday...
as a matter of fact...we still haven't had that honeymoon...
maybe on our 30th anniversary...
just goes to show you...sometimes less is more...
don't get me wrong...I love seeing fancy weddings...
they just aren't me...and definately not my hubby...
it has worked for us...

Happy Anniversary tomorrow!!!
On another note, I have looked at your store again, and the next time I make an order, I would like to get a magnet of Lone Flower - you only have it as postcards. Could you make it up for me, please?? Somehow, that is still my favourite of them all...

sounds like a perfect wedding to me. my first one i had the dress and the wedding and it did not last. 27 years go bob and i bought the license at the courthouse and ask the lady that sold it to us to marry us, bob had on jeans and a cowboy shirt and boots i did wear a dress, my aunt went with us to be a witness. right back to work next day, but we did go on a 3 day honeymoon 6 months later of the same year. honey moon meant we stayed in a motel on Captiva island, and he fished and i read a book in the sun. we had no money for anything else.

It was a 2nd marriage for both of us, so we opted for Vegas and it was a grand time. :)
