It was an awesome weekend...
I did laundry yesterday....dried it on my new clothes line...
sheets...pillow cases...comforter...
it was a pleasure to climb into bed last night...
I felt like a little sunshine was in there with us...
I got my laundry room cleaned up...organized...
re-arranged..I forgot how big it was...
it was so crowded and stacked up...
a catch all room...now it is useable again...

I actually slept in this morning...like 2 hours longer than usual...
Hubby...our daughter and I went to lunch...
were gonna eat at IHop...there was a long wait...
my daughter had to be somewhere at a specific times...
so we headed to another place...oops closed on Sunday...
we found 303 bar and grille in Oak Cliff...
it is a cool place...we sat outside on the patio...
hubby and I had burgers that were really good...
our daughter went for the breakfast...
Rooster waited in the truck...
he was rewarded with ham...and one of my buns...
After filling our tummies...
we headed to Dallas Farmers Market...
I don't think the prices were better than what I usually
pay at our grocery store...maybe a little fresher on some things...
especially the tomatoes...
we purchased all our items from Texas farmers...
not the ones that just buy in bulk and resale...
Rooster enjoyed all the smells...
he is getting more relaxed around crowds...
of course a little snippy dog snipped at him...
he snipped back....but then moved on....
we got our veggies....a few herb plants...
then headed home...
we got a nice surprise...

my son had to go run a service call...
so we got little britches for a couple of hours...
did you know all you need to keep a little boy happy is...
  • one bucket of water
  • one golf ball
  • one spatula
  • one measuring cup
  • a couple of dogs
  • Roosters soccer ball

he had a blast...
especially when all the dogs would come get a drink...
or Rooster would come get his ball out of the bucket...
we had a nice dinner with our fresh veggies...
hubby cooked a pork loin....
A great April 1st day...

i forgot to mention that sweet sweet dove. when i came out of walmart at daybreak saturday, there was a little lady sitting on the sign above my head, i could have reached up and touched her. as i stared at her the big guy came and sat down and started to coo and bow, coo and bow. i stood totally amazed, and tried for a shot with the point and shoot but it was to dark. the sound made me so happy

But! But! But! No pics of laundry drying on the line!!! -pout-

Susan Branch makes lots of Photo Ops of her laundry on the line. Very pretty too. :-)

A cloud, and a rainbow's warning,
Suddenly sunshine and perfect blue--

How awesome that you got to hang your sheets outside. I can just imagine how wonderful your sleep was last night.

What a great day you had! Love the farmer's market produce. Little Britches is surely having a fun time at Grandma's! It doesn't take much to entertain little boys! :) Kudos to hubby for cooking.

I've been gone all week, for the most part and just now trying to get caught up. The eye is on the mend. I was so sorry to hear that your family was so close to all the tornado activity! Just thankful all is well!

Love the Farmer's Market veggies! Yum! And Little Britches looks like he is having a ball in that bucket of water. :-)
