We had an interesting Easter...
This is my niece in her little Easter dress...
she got it at her baby shower...finally can wear it...

as soon as she found the ball cap...
the bow was tossed aside....
she loves ball caps and balls...

hubby fired up the smoker...
he cooked pulled pork...

and a brisket....

we added some healthy food...
My Mom brought the flowers from her garden...
the table clothes and runner were made by my Mom...
hubby insisted on the paper plates...
I was going to use my cute new pink and green plastic plates...
oh well...we used cloth napkins...real silverware...

we started out eating outside...
then it started sprinkling...
so we moved inside...

then it poured...and poured...and poured...
2 inches...it hailed...pea size some a little smaller than a golf ball...
a couple of branches fell...
My son...DIL and little britches were driving in all of it...

they arrived safe and sound...a little wet...
the babies got to play a little while...
then my brother...SIL...and niece had to head to another function...

it was still raining...and raining...
some roads were flooded...
little britches got a lot of hugging and cuddling...
with Nanny...(his great grandmother)
No Egg hunt...maybe next year...
the Easter bunny would have needed a boat to make
it around our area...our driveway was ankle deep...

My DIL...the queen of hiding..
and my son....

my beautiful daughter...
who got soaked in the rain...
running back to the house to shut windows..
and to make sure Nolan and Jake were fine...
it was an eventful day...
after everyone left the three of us watched Thelma and Louise...
I love that movie...
Overall it was a great day!

What a fine family...that precious little girl! Little angel in a ball cap...
Fortunately, we haven't had rain in a while..I'm really hoping it will dry out some so we can get some things done around here before it rains again. Hopefully, there will be an "again".

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I can't take my eyes off of that sweet little girl in her so-precious DRESS. I do hope that whomever gave it to her (at her baby shower), got to see her in it. Or got lots of pictures, of her, in it.

Oh pitter-patter goes my heart! I am just a wimp, for little girls in their dresses, and hair bows.

And even in her beautiful dress and her baseball cap. Oh sigh, oh sigh, oh sigh...

(Can hardly imagine how much that gorgeous dress must have cost.)

Ok! OK! I will stop now!!!! :-)

Thanks for sharing your memorable day with us. The kids are real cuties! Pulled pork is one of my favorites--our friends used to bring it from N. Carolina for us. Yum!

Oh, that little dress is adorable. Looks like everyone had a great time despite the rain. All of our rain, and snow, came on Friday. Our Easter Sunday was sunny but a little chilly.

It rained on our parade too- kids had to hunt eggs on the porch. It was hilarious watching them bump each other around in such a small area- but a fun family day nonetheless!
