I told Hotrod we were going to paint after his nap...
when he woke up....
Oma....Oma...Oma...
I walked into the room...
he popped up....
Let's paint Oma....
so paint we did...
I think he had more paint on him...
than our projects...
he painted a board to hang in his room...
"Fort Hotrod"...
(pictures will be shown later)
I love how he gets excited about our little projects...

I love all the time I get to spend with him...
every day....every moment...
is a new adventure...
he gets my creative juices going....

My daughter and I have started brain storming...
our Family 1st annual Thanksgiving day fun run....
we have a park close to our house...
with a 1 1/2 mile walking trail...
we are going to have a 1 1/2 mile fun walk...run...ride....
a 3 mile run/walk for the more serious athletes....
a toddler run for our sweet babies...
3 legged races....a pumpkin relay race...
a game of TURKEY (instead of horse) with a basketball...

we've made our list of people to invite....
we have picked the time...
now we just need to get everybody on board with us...
need to come up with fun awards...
we are going to ask everyone to bring can goods...
as there entrance fee... to donate to a local food bank....
My daughters sweet boyfriend has agreed to join in....
now we need to get the other guys excited...
Nolan and I are going to have to step up our walks....

Deb, I really like the photo of the basketball! Not my usual style, but what does that have to do with it.
You are so lucky to have your family near you!!!

Delightful post! That dragonfly photo, ohhhhhhhhh! And the first one, of the sweet still flowering weed.

Paint! Hooray!!! And I'm sure you had someone's old t-shirt, for him to use as a "smock." And the painting was done, in a *safe* place. *Safe* meaning, safe from paint. -giggggles-

And great Thanksgiving plans! Super!

YOU are some SUPER "idea-thinker-upper" and organizer! :-)

Gentle hugs,
"Auntie"

Oh!!! I want an invitation! Sounds like so much fun! You're planning early; I haven't given the holidays much thought after having five birthdays in 34 days. Whew! Guess I'd better start thinking about Thanksgiving. You and Hotrod sure have fun, don't you?

And I know how you feel about spending time with the little one too.
We have so much in common that way. Sounds like your going to be a very busy gal getting ready for this.
