there is nothing like a sunset at the beach....
except maybe the sunrise....

we had a wonderful time on our trip...
Hubby wanted check out the city more....
maybe open another location there....
see if it is something that would work for us...

I had fun playing with the settings on my camera...
I usually stick with the regular programmed settings...
I'm starting to feel more comfortable...
trying out all the other settings...
trying manual focus...adjusting shudder speed...
maybe some day I will figure it all out...

Hubby tried to fish out in the ocean....
the waves were thrashing him around....
he was making me nervous....
I kept a close eye on him...
Hubby got me to go in...you see how deep I got....lol...
I never learned to swim...so I don't go out too far...

while eating lunch...we met a nice couple...
they live in the town...
they told us that the last hurricane took out a bunch of tree tops...
instead of cutting them all down...
woodcarvers came in....
this dog was carved from a tree....
the home owners dress him up depending on the season...
We are back home...
I miss the sand between my toes....
the wind in my hair...
well maybe not the wind...

I loved this post!! I don't swim either so I stay in the shallows. Love the beach and the waves - just don't go in much! Mostly sit and let the waves lap around me!
I wanted to show Luann all the carvings but we ran out of time......Welcome home! Hope your allergies aren't killing you like mine are! I feel like a very elderly person with the fatigue and coughing, choking and hacking!

that dog is amazing and what a great idea... love your outfit and pony tails and that is as deep as i go to and i stand where your are standing and FRET while bob fishes...looks like it was a little rough for fishing though. love the dragonfly and keep playing with the manual, that is how i am learning to use it, just playing.

I'm not a swimmer either, Deb. You and I go the same deep. ;) {sigh} I miss the sound of the waves and the smell...

I love that dog!!! Wish I could get some sand between my toes!!! That is likely as deep as I would go in the water, too!!!
