It's been a long time since I've posted...
but here goes...
2017 was a good year...
lot's of time with family and friends...
Turned 55 in March...wow how did that happen...
Stringbean turned 7...
he's not a baby anymore...a 2nd grader....
my son just turned 34... daughter will be 29 next month...
she is working as a Medical Assistant and will
graduate this spring with her Medical Assistant certification..
a lot has changed this year...she no longer teaches dance...
she was at her dance studio for 26 years....

my Mom turned 71 in November...
she quilted 20 laptop throws (or lovies as a good friend calls them)
from July to November...
she will be teaching 6 of my friends to make them...
the tradition will go on...
my daughter will be taking private lessons from her...

Hubby and I managed to go fishing a lot this year...
sneaking away for the day or weekend whenever possible...
We will be celebrating out 35th wedding anniversary in February...
we will be renewing our vows...
we will have it at our home...
our daughter will be the officiant...
our son will play music...
our theme is Fishing...
Still hooked after 35 years....

Hubby built me a new chicken coop...
it has two sections so I can keep both my Roosters...
Dawg is 3 now.... Garfield I hatched this year...
he was the smallest of the chicks...not so much now...
he is a honery little character...I have to carry a little hoe in with me...
I also hatched 3 little hens...they are laying really well...
I still have the brat pack...Lucky...Fancy and Ace...
they are 2 now...
I also have Dixie and Pip...
unfortunately Freya ran out of the coop today...Ginger ate her....
Ginger is now my dog...
Athena decided she was the queen and they started fighting...
Ginger gets along well with Rooster...so we kept her...
Unfortunately Athena doesn't get to come visit anymore...
Stringbean also has a Cat Max...and two guinea pigs...Chloe and Calli...
Still have the 3 boy Rabbits...
Buster is 3 Duke is 2 and Collaso is 1....

Stringbean played coach pitch baseball in the fall...
my son was the pitcher...it was a fun season...
It is really cold here in Texas...
last year at this time we were wearing short sleeves...
the windchill was 4 degrees this morning...
I'm no fan of winter...I don't do cold well...
it's good for our business to have extreme weather...
but not fun when you have critters to take care of...
the new chicken coop has radiant heat on each side...
so they are doing good...
we had a nice family get together last night....
food...laughs...games...
we played Spoons...which can get a little wild...
a great way to end a great year...
Wishing you all a Happy Healthy 2018...
