Girls Night...

 every Girls night has to have yummy food...

and fun drinks...

I brought out my spring dishes...

the spring table cloth my Mom made me...

needed lot's of cheer...

it was pouring down rain outside...

 

 Our sweet friend J...was giving us the instruction...

she has everything all ready for us...

outlines cut out...tissue paper cut...

contact paper cut...

 

 we decided to make butterflies and crosses...

for Spring and for Easter...

 

 we were all trying to find a spot to put our other piece...

my Mom put hers on her head...

so we all followed...

 it gave us all a good giggle...

 

 this is such a fun group of girls...

some I have known since high school...

 

 we all had so much fun putting our crosses and butterflies together...

 

 everyone added their own flair...

 J said the material cost her less than $20...

she had things ready for 10 people...

with tons of supplies left over...

 

 we had lot's of good conversations...

lot's of laughs...

going down memory lane....

 

 J is an amazing crafter...

she quilts...crochets...makes amazing Gingerbread themes..

she showed us photos of Gingerbread villages...

she makes every year for Christmas...

she has two great nieces that she spoils like grand children...

oh boy can't wait till she has grand children...

I have known her since high school...

she is also our insurance agent....

 

 S is a friend from high school also....

her son recently married...

her daughter will be getting married in May....

one more daughter to get married...

she is hoping for grand children soon...

she even stocks up on things now...

for when she does have them...

 

as usual I didn't get any photos of me at Girls Night...

so I had a little St. Paddy's day fun....

 we decided to have a little St. Paddy's day fun....

 a little Leprechaun sent us on a treasure hunt...

 

 

 we found lot's of gold for our pot....

 

 Hotrod even found a crystal...

which wasn't even in the plan...

just a bit of luck o' the Irish I guess...

 

He was one happy Lad with his Pot O' Gold...

 

 quite a Lucky Day for Hotrod...

he got to go with Pawpaw to Lowe's...

we had a picnic lunch...

then a Treasure hunt for gold...

 

This is the bench my Dad made me for my Birthday...

Hotrod and Hatari approve also....

the new picnic table...

makes an awesome place for a snack...

especially when Pawpaw get's you an ice cream sandwich...

good thing he doesn't do it too often....

 

 it also makes a good place to get a few photos...

 it's been a good weekend...

today has been a PJ and fuzzy pink blanket day...

thunderstorms...lots of rain blew in yesterday...

lots of high winds today...

the temps have  dropped....

 my Dad's family has a family cemetery here in town...

Saturday they had a clean up day...

Hubby and I went over for a little while to help...

I also got my Birthday gift a few days early...

a cool bench with built in cup holders...

I love it Dad!!!

Saturday afternoon was Girls Craft day.....

we crafted away while the rain poured....

It was a fun craft....fun conversations...

yummy food....it was just what I needed....

I really enjoy this group of girls...

no one is trying to put on airs...

out do each other...

just down home girls...that enjoy having fun...

I love my new picnic table....

 of course being the man he is...

he's been trying to decide...

if he could start a production of picnic tables...

and how much money he could make on each...

he does this on every project...

including my projects...

 

 picnic table #2 should be done today...

so I guess we are going to have to plan a family cookout...

a girl has got to try our her new table...

 

 it has Hotrod and Roosters seal of approval...

now what is better than that...

 

 I know this is blurry...out of focus....

but it was about to crash...

I thought it looked kinda artsy....

 

the black and white looks more dangerous to me...

It's HUMP day....

we were 89 degrees yesterday...

then 45 mile per hour winds blew in...

it was 45 this morning....

Old Man winter just doesn't want to go away....

 when Hubby and I were at Lowes this weekend...

they had wooden picnic tables...

your could buy the kit to put them together yourself...

Hubby said he could buy the lumber and make it cheaper himself...

which usually means...maybe next year...

well he put his pencil to it...

guess what...

we went this morning...

picked up enough wood for 2 picnic tables...

 

 Hotrod loves going to Lowe's...

he was really good too...

Hubby got materials cut for both tables...

one built...

with the help of me...and our daughter...

we took turns....

 when both tables are finished...

we will be able to sit the whole Clan for meals...

 

 Our claws foot tub will be refinished on Friday...

the hardware came in today....

hoping by this time next week...

I can take nice long soaks....

 

 we have really been blessed with nice weather this week...

it is Spring Break for the kiddos in our area...

I know they are all enjoying the sunshine...

 

I'm still not used to the time change...

but I sure do like having more day light hours...



 

we started the day with a beautiful sunrise...

 

 the sun was shining...it was a nice warm day....

a good day to be outdoors....

so we took advantage of it...

 

 Hotrod talked Pawpaw into getting the helicopter out....

I think Pawpaw crashed more than Hotrod...

 

 Hotrod is really into jumping now...

when he was little he liked sitting on the logs...

now he's climbing on them...

jumping off....

 

 Nolan may be old and blind...

but he manages to get in on the action...

he still likes to tell us what he thinks...

 

 Got a little wink from the Hubby...

wearing his $2 hat from the Dollar Store...

Hotrod finally gave it back to him...

 

 We sold the Honda motorcycle over the weekend...

I was a little sad to see it go...

but I had stopped riding with Hubby...

just getting to dangerous on the roads...

he didn't enjoy riding by himself...

so it was time for it to find a new home...

Hotrod decided to wear Pawpaw's helmet...

water our onion plants....

well you never know...watering could be dangerous...

 

 meet grubby the grub worm...

Hotrod spent 45 minutes playing with him...

tell he dropped it...

I think grubby ran for his life...

 

 Hubby bought a bunch of sinks...

this one was broken on the bottom...

so I decided to turn it into a planter...

 

we had a fun filled day....

I'm a tired Oma...
