Quite a walk...

when hubby and I went to the St. Patricks Day Parade...
we found a place to park...paid our $10....
the lady told us the parade was 6 blocks over...
well we were ready for a nice little walk through  the neighborhood...
it's a nice old neighborhood on Lower Greenville...
love the colors....
thought the scooter was cool..
love the porch...and the pillows on the chair
pretty daffs....
well we walk our 6 blocks...and further...
no parade.....hubby calls our son to look at the Mapsco..
well we are no where near the parade...
actually miles away...
so we walk back to the parking lot...
and the attendents are still telling everyone 6 blocks...
hubby speaks up...and let's them know they are wrong....
the after party was 6 blocks away... not the parade...
their lot was full and all these people were given the wrong directions...
she did give us our money back....she didn't want to loose
the others coming in...she just wanted us out of there...
what a scam...she was charging cars $15 and motorcycles $10
we did get a nice walk in....

The bonus was these great photos for us - such different houses to what we have in the UK - but what a scam to be taking money and misdirecting people.

I agree with Linda. What a scam but I am glad that you had the house photots to share. I love unique neighborhoods.

How awful that they were scamming people. At least you got to take a walk through a pretty neighborhood :)

What a scam she had going! But as the others mentioned, you did get to see a lovely neighborhood of beautiful homes, as well as lovely flowers and bushes.

I love old neighborhoods like that and just recently drove through that one while visiting my son. I really don't remember if I saw those specific houses, though, but I like the second pic of the two- story with the veranda on the second floor. Really cool. Sorry about your luck with the scammer! Seems there are a lot around these days just trying to make a buck.
