Friday already...
the week has flown by...
the weather has done a complete turn around...
from warm and humid...
to cold and rain...

spring break starts tomorrow in our area...
the kiddos will be on the loose...
count down starts for my Birthday weekend parties...
I'm looking forward to both of them...
especially the family cookout on Sunday....

it's funny I'm the one turning 50 but my hubby seems to be
the one worried about age...
isn't it usually the birthday person that gets a little freaked...
to me age is just a number....
your only as old as you feel...
I don't feel old...
don't get me wrong the gray in the hair...
the little crows feet ....
having to wear reading glasses...
sometimes 2 pairs at a time..
does bother me sometimes...
I just avoid the mirror a lot...
but I don't dwell on it...
I mean I chase a almost 2 year old around all day...
I roll on the floor...
I crawl...I lay in the floor to read books...
I dance...I march...I hop... I skip...
I sing silly songs...Mouskersize...
do the hotdog dance...spin in circles...
as long as I can do all that...
I think I'm good...
I've got another 50 years to enjoy....
I'm so much more comfortable with myself...
than when I was 20...

Today I'm joining Friday Fences

50 was a year of reflection for me. I don't believe I'll live to 100, so it was a realization that I had more years behind me than in front of me. Whoa. Heavy sh*t.

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Birthday, Deb! :)

fifty schmifty....you're only as old as you feel! it amazes me how people younger than me (i'm 45) act like they are so old...maybe i'm just immature lol

Enjoy every moment of the celebrations for your 50th. In my opinion the 50s are a really wonderful time of life so just look forward and enjoy.

So this is your Birthday Weekend... Have a totally lovely time. Happy Birthday to you.

I hear tell that men can have a hard time, with this middle-age transition. Mine didn't, but many do. Guess you'd better be extra-special-attentive to the hubby. Even if the age-thing isn't bothering you. :-)

I hear ya Deb, I am so much more comfortable too. I wouldn't want to go back and live those years again. Keep on a dancin girl - I dance when no one is looking and I really cut loose. Hava a nice weekend.

So I guess the old saying "you're as young as you feel" is right! Happy Birthday and enjoy the family cookout. Sounds like fun!

Really nice photos! And Happy Birthday! You know, the day I turned 50, I was holding my week-old grandson. I couldn't have been happier! I felt like I was starting a new chapter! But 60 was a hard one for me this past January!

Happy Birthday!
Age is just a state of mind and if the mind is young then all is good.
Hope you are having a great weekend!
