I'm so happy Spring is here....
we didn't have a winter here in Texas...
which is just fine with me...
I'm enjoying this weather...
It is so good to see families out enjoying the weather...
at the parks....riding bikes...
walking...playing ball....
walking their dogs....

I saw something disturbing on the news this morning...
well I actually saw a lot of disturbing things on the news...
but the one that really bothered me...
was a Atheist group...they are targeting kids...families...
during the Easter holiday time...
billboards...ads...denouncing religion...
bragging how great their family is without religion...
I just find that disturbing...
especially since they are trying to turn believers...
or almost believers...
why do they feel the need to do this...
seems to me they maybe a little insecure in their decision...
why else would they feel the need to try to transform others...

on another note....
I'm concerned how fast people are to judge...
before all the facts are given...
how a bounty can be put on someones head...
without all the evidence being in....
I think everyone needs to take a deep breath...
let all the facts be put on the table...
then make a judgement...
it is really sad that a young man's life was cut short...
but let's not ruin another man's till we know all the facts...

okay I feel better now....
if your still with me...
thank you for listening...
if you are not...I understand...
I still love you....

i just saw on the news that some reporter looked up the family name of the man who did the deed and it was the wrong family that had the same name, they got so many threats and phone calls they had to leave their home, and they had nothing to do with any of it. the world has gone mad.
did you notice in the first photo how many different stages the flowers are in? full bloom, half bloom, buds and dying. i love that one because it has so much in it.

i do feel that the shooter in that case needs to go to trial - if not to be convicted of wrong-doing, then to be publicly vindicated.

as for the atheist group, i can't say there is anything wrong with that advertising. no different than churches advertising to join their worship services or youth groups, etc. both sides of the coin...

Glad you are happy with spring. Hope it means you are feeling better.

(Gonna' comment here, with my thoughts. And hope they will be OK with you, in your comments...)

Why do any people, have to try to convince any other people, to live their way? I have no desire to. All I want, is to be left alone, to live as my mind tells me. -sigh-

Poohie on conversion, no matter what form it takes.

As to most all the news, UGH.

A friend of mine used to say "it takes a lot of faith to be an atheist" - how true, though many atheists want to deny faith, and want to deny others their faith, ugh.

As to the other, I have been holding my tongue as others talk about it, waiting to see what the outcome is. I still have faith in our justice system to do their best to get it right. I say prayers for all the families involved, for they surely need it.

Great post ... loving the springtime weather at my hill country place too ...

I agree, the news is disturbing. We are often too quick to judge. A deep breath and a look at all the viewpoints and all the facts would be the best approach.

I haven't seen those little white clover flowers in years. Brings back so many memories of my childhood in Chicago.

I agree I don't think we know all the facts on this case. And for the Atheist group we know who's leading them Satan himself. At least that's what I believe.
