Today I took Hubby to the Santa Fe Days...
when he was a kid in Wyoming...
they lived on the edge of the reservation...
on Sundays they would go to the park...
to watch the Indians perform...
he enjoyed the show...
 
Meet Chester Nez...
he is the last living Navajo code talker from WWII...
he wrote a book called Code Talker...
I purchased an autographed copy...
he is in his 90's...
I'm anxious to get started reading it...

Oh, how I would have loved to have been there. Fantastic pictures sweet Deb. I love the movie about the code talkers and love Adam Beach one of the actors in the movie. Hugs

How wonderful that you got to meet the last living Code Talker!!!!! He is a living part of History!!! And a very, very, very important part of History too!!!!!!

We had a member of the "Tuskegee Airmen" in our city, until he died recently. Our Rotary Organization honored him. Another part of living History...

so jealous, i want to SEE these dancers and HEAR the music. we watched a movie not to long ago about the code talkers in WWII, it was a great movie. i would like to meet this one.
