some of you might know....
I like wood.....
rustic....weathered....
I always think about the process it took...
the tree it came from....
the work that went into it...
then the elements that turned it into what it is today...
this is on a stalk in my FIL's back yard...
not sure what it is ....but thought it was cool...
any ideas????
found this empty nest...
pulled it down....
someone suggested putting it on a wreath...
I'm thinking about it....
maybe collecting a few more...
vaccant ones for sure...
my catcus my Dad gave me are doing good...
looks like I'm getting the thumbs up...
little britches and went for a walk the other day...
gonna take another one today....
gonna be 70 or 71....so excited...
he had fun hanging over the side looking at everything...
Have a wonderful Friday.....
any big plans for the weekend???

Great shots! Thank you. I share your admiration for wood and often wonder what stories the wood could tell us.
I plan to rake leaves today as the temps get back to bearable levels. Not my favorite thing to do, but necessary---it'll do me good to get outside and get dirty.
We have those strange "razor-sided" branches around our place too. Don't know what they are but they're pretty prolific in places.
I hope to sit outside in the sun and take some photos today, but I've got some housework I need to do first!
Is that an old wasp nest???
Wow, your temps are very, very different from mine! :-) But perfect for 'Little Britches' to go for an exploring ride. :-)
Hugs and ♥'s...
'Cause Valentine Day is coming!
71. Ahhhhh. 71 degrees. That sounds amazing. Well, it's going to be 43 here today. The warmest it's been in awhile. Jealous?
I hope I don't have to go for the third time...this is the second time I have been here, was interrupted earlier. I have no idea what that is on the stalks but I must say it looks quite interesting. I enjoyed your pictures. You and Little Britches have fun on your walk today. Hugs
Great pics today. The nest would be cool on a wreath.
I love wood too. Our house has lots of wood and a little sheetrock.
Oh those walks are the best. I wish I was in Dallas, walking!!! Enjoy!
Lovely sunshine for walking Little Britches! Our temps are in celsius so your's doesn't mean much to me. Your FIL's twig 'thing' looks interesting. Is it growing on there or has been put there?
My weekend? .. doing nothing much (hubby is away on business so it should be quiet here)
I like wood too! That stalk is really different.
Deb, I LOVE the Honk if you love Jesus sign in your sidebar. Made me laugh... Again, your perspective is awesome!
We are supposed to be up close to 50 tomorrow! Can't wait! Glad to see Little Brithces enjoying the weather.
Great pictures! Are temps have been in the 70's also. The sunshine feels so good!
It was beautiful here today. Acutally got up to 75 which was hard to believe for even Texas weather. lol
Hope your doing well
Love
Maggie
Love the thumbs up cactus! That made me smile!
