worn....weathered...
we have some very old buildings
we have some very new buildings...
with everything in between....
in my town....
there are good things....
there are bad things....
I'm sure it is the same in every town...

someone started a face book page...
you know your from myhome town  when...

it was fun....
reading through the comments...
about things from my childhood...
my Mom's childhood in our town....
places I had forgotten about....
then something happened....
it all turned ugly....

all of a sudden it is the north side...
against the south side....
people are bickering back and forth...
placing blame on others...
for the changes in our town....
some don't even live here anymore...

the fun...fond memories...
were sucked right out....
it turned into Jerry Springer...
or  the politics we see on TV...

what has become of our society??
that everything has to turn into
a free for all.....
people feel the need to put others down...
I'm so happy to have my blogging buddies...
that just stop by to say hello....
give a nice little comment....
a little encouragement...
put a smile on my face....
Thank you......

There is the same kind of FB page about our town...I'll have to go look and see if that has happened there. When it first went up there was some of that kind of nasty stuff about a neighboring town.

-sorry- For this issues, in your home town.

Here, it's that we've (in our small city) been going along for years and years... Picking ourselves up, when things fall down. Restoring and keep things nice. And..........

People from other places come. Like it. Settle. AND WANT TO CHANGE IT!

And to make it worse, they keep multiplying. With their $$$$$$$$$ and their artsy-fartsy ways and their liberal views. -sigh-

Basically, my town is being over-run by "carpet baggers." But we all know, $$$$$$$$$$$ TALKS. And those with liberal views, can not wait to change things.

-sigh-

And we worry....... About what this beloved place will be like, for our Grandchildren...

-sigh-

That is sad that a few ruin all the fun for the others. My hometown has a FB page too so far it is fun. I hope it stays that way.

What a shame that the town memory sharing turned ugly. Yes, I love blogging buddies, too.

Deb, I was in your parts on Saturday visiting my Sam and Emily. I waved when I passed you. Did you hear me yelling, "Hey, Deb!" Em and I visited "The Dump" on 635. Great place! Yes, the weather was nice for a change! Here we go again. Hang on for the ride back into triple digits.
