I have become such a sappy sentimentalist...
there are some movies....
I just can't watch any more...
"Where the Red Fern grows"... "Old Yeller"...
to name a few....

 looking at old photos....
well they just make the tears flow...
but in a good way....
I'm not sad...I'm just reliving them in a Happy way....

New Years Eve I woke up....
checked my facebook page...
My dear friends daughter...
had made a cute video...
showing her sweet little family....
a recap of 2013...
well I cried...
then I had to make my own....
well I cried....
then I made one of my niece...
my brother and sister in law cried....
my Mom cried about all of them....
boy we are a sappy group....
but it's all Happy tears....
tears of Joy....

when I hear a song....
oh boy....memory lane....
I think I'm kinda stuck in the 70's....
it's not so much the song always....
sometimes it's the words...
but other times...it's the feelings...
I think of certain people when I hear certain songs...
then I almost feel like I'm in that moment...
but of course in a good way.....

I don't think there are any songs....
that give me bad memories....
they all bring back good memories....

when I was putting together a video of Hotrod for the year...
oh my gosh....
I really saw how much he has changed in just one year...
the baby face has turned into a little boy face.....
how tall and lanky he has gotten....

I was also looking back at old photos...
from when I first got my big girl camera...
my Cannon...
wow....do I see a difference...

what I photograph has changed a lot ....
sometimes I do lots of people...
sometimes it's flowers...plants...etc...
sometimes is animals....wild...and furbabies...
sometimes it's just odd things that catch my eye....

I love seeing what YOU see in photos! You are such a natural.
Memories....being ill all week has given me time to remember this past year and reflect. Babies don't stay babies long, do they? Would the teenage years pass as fast! And would that babyhood would last just a little longer!

i won't put myself thru tearjerker movies (mostly animal ones) any more. i drew the line at 'free willy' and haven't watched one since.

Fascinating series of images of birds in elegant flight. And memories haunt us especially when are advance in age. Aren't we all sentimental & do we all not get our eyes moist or cry? If we are not sentimental then we are not human.

I am the same. I can't listen to Old Shep by Elvis any more and old songs (60's and 70's) make me cry. Anything to do with animals makes me cry. I refuse to watch sad movies or videos either. I wish I wasn't like this.

Yes Hotrod did change a lot this year. We don't often see the change when it is in front of us all the time. I find myself crying often...
happy and sad tears!

Yes Hotrod has changed plenty over the year. I find myself getting sappy sometimes over the smallest of things in a movie that wouldn't have made me cry 10 years ago. I know what you mean about pictures. Love those memories.
I have two songs that I don't like to hear..One by Tom Petty and one by Peter Gabriel. When I was pregnant and the darn music video came out I would get sick. Can't remember the names of the songs but when I hear them to this day I get queasy. Stupid huh?!
