Have a nice saturday....

Mistletoe anyone....
just thinking in a few months...
this tree will be covered with leaves again...

It is kind of fun to look throught the bare branches...
and see the sky....
today the sky is gray....and full of rain...
atleast it has warmed up a bit...
so no ice...
maybe the pretty blue skies will return soon...

had a fun sleep over with little britches....and the grand dog...
do you have a favorite sleepover story?
or maybe a not so favorite sleepover story?
I had such fun sleepovers with Nana...
she always had yogurt and cottage cheese in her fridge..
she always treated me like a grown up when I spent the night...
we would have long talks....
Nana never drove...
so we would walk every where...
or now and then ride a bus...
and there was always a good breakfast in the morning..
oh she could make the best biscuits....
isn't it funny...how food..
can be such a part of fond memories also...

Lovely new header photo!

Pictures of mistletoe! Thank you! I've read that it grows in trees, like this. But always thought those things one could see in big trees, were bird's nests.

At last, photos of it, which you can see, that it doesn't look like a nest, when it isn't a nest. ,-)

Guess I need to take my binoculars out, to do my looking.

Hugs & ♥'s...
'Cause Valentine Day is coming!

Sadly I never knew any of my grandparents, but from what I hear, they were very stern and practical German and Bohemian types that worked the farm and had little time for fun. So no sweet Nana memories for me. :)

Now food memories. I have lots of those. :)

And yes, I'm glad the temps have returned to a more normal setting for us - even with the rains.

Love the baby photos (grand and puppy). We never lived close enough to my grandparents to have a sleepover. =(

Sweet pictures of the baby and the puppy. I always loved to spend the night with my Grandmother. She made us pancakes for breakfast with homemade syrup and we worked in the yard and planted flowers. She also had a fish pond and I loved to feed the fish and watch them come to the top. Thanks for bringing back some sweet memories this morning and have a nice day!

We are going to be in the 70s today and I am loving it. My grandma made me chocolate chip cookies when I would come over. Must be why I love c.c. cookies still.
