A little escape....

Sunday we spent the day with FIL....
I got my camera out and did a little exploring...

ran across this feather in the yard..

 weeds...but lovely...

a splash of color on a dreary day....

 a pop of red...

almost reminds me of spring...
FIL has dimentia...so he repeats himself alot...
and is confused easily...
it is like the movie Groundhogs Day...
where it's the same day over and over...
so I always bring my camera...
and escape for a little while at a time...

Awww. Does your FIL still live on his own? Or is he in a care facility? That's a very difficult part of life - and unfortunately so many of us are headed there too.

My FIL has dimentia also, and it's so sad to see. I'm glad you bring your camera with you to provide a little distraction.

My Gran suffers from dementia, so I know how difficult it can be.

Texwisgirl- he is still at home with a caregiver...but she goes home a few times a month...and we stay with him....

Farmchick- it is hard especially when they are not an easy going type....

I'll take any color right now...even in weeds!
My grandmother had dementia and I agree, when they are on the stubborn side, it can be very difficult. Hang in there and I'll keep y'all in my prayers for good days.

Not an easy condition to deal with for sure. Amazing what is around us if we only look. Of course, around me is all white right now!

He is very lucky to have you... To fill in when the caretaker is off. Hugs....

Love your photos! Especially the first one... The pattern on a light shade maybe?

Oh and what is the header pic of? Out a window... But is that frost, or just condensation? Cooool effect, which ever it is.

Hugs and ♥'s...
'Cause Valentine Day is coming!

Aunt Amelia- the header is frost on my car window...the pattern is the light fixture in my fil's bathroom...I never really noticed it before...
