this post kinda just has a mind of it's own...

I love old trees....
I always think about all the history they have seen...
weather they have endured...
animals and bugs that have called them home....
I bet they could tell us some stories....
that's what I also love about talking to my elders...
the things they have seen....the people they have met...
I wish I would have recorded stories from my great grandparents...
to pass down through the generations...
I didn't know what my post was going to be today...
it kinda just had a mind of it's own..
so if you have an elderly neighbor...friend or relative...
listen to their stories...even if you've heard them before...
you might just learn something new...
and you might just have something to pass down...
to the future generations...

What a lovely message. I love trees too. There's something magical about oaks in the winter with their twisty branches against the gray skies. :)

Hi Deb -- visiting you from Texwisgirl's blog.

I know what you mean about old trees -- we've got lots of them around here and I often wonder who or what was looking up at them say, 50 years ago?

Love your blog -- have a great day!

Me too. Love the old Oak tree, in next door yard. :-)

Sweet message in this post. So "this post" wrote itself, well. :-)

Gentle Winter hugs...

I agree! I am always enchanted with the stories an old tree would tell us if it could! What a neat post.
