1 1/2 c water
1/2 c honey
5 1/2 to 6 1/2 c flour
1 c quick cooking oats
2 tsp salt
1 pkg yeast
2 eggs
1 tbsp water
1 egg white
Combine water, honey and butter in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat until liquids are warm. Place 4 cups of flour, oats, salt and yeast in bowl, mix. Add warm liquids to flour mixture
and mix, add eggs, mis. Mix and knead dought into remaining flour. Knead until smooth and elastic. Place in a creased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover and let rest until double in size. Punch dough down and divide into half. Shape each half loaf and place in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double in size. Combine water, egg white, brush top of loaves with mixture. Sprinkle with oats. Bake at 375 for 35 minutes.

Nana's Peanut Butter Cookies
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. smooth peanut butter
3 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Mix shortening, sugar and peanut butter together. Mix eggs and vanilla, then add all dry ingredients. Make balls, then flatten criss cross with a fork. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until brown. Makes 5 dozen
