feeling blessed...

we got good results back on Hubbies tests...

will be 7-10 days for full report...

but the Dr. is confident all is well...

 

 we are showing signs of spring here in Texas...

80 degrees today...

same tomorrow...

then...boom...we drop again...

with lows below freezing....

hold on tight...it's still a bumpy ride...

 Today while waiting in the waiting room...

I had 3 different women sit next to me...

each one of them had a ton of perfume or strong lotion on...

It gave me asthma and a headache....

 I guess they don't think about the effect it has on others....

it ranks right up there with the smell of smokers to me...

I know a lot of folks that will get a migraine from it...

I did in the past...

There are men just as bad with their cologne...

Less is MORE.....

and I am off my soap box...

 Hotrod has quite a flair for the dramatic....

he loves Shrek 2...he knows most of the words to it...

he is really into singing now too...

oh we have so much fun with this boy...

 

 This week has passed by too quickly....

I am looking forward to my weekend time...

it's going to be busy...

I got a text from a friend this morning...

I'm going to take photos of her 4 grand kids...

a surprise birthday gift for her Hubby....

 

 I can't wait to go to the Irish Festival...

it is so much fun...

good music...lot's of people watching...

great photo op's...

 

We are already planning our March girls craft night...

I'm so enjoying my girl time...

it is so much more fun to do crafts...

when you have such a fun group of ladies around...

My Hubby is the greatest ever...

he looks out for us....and puts up with us....

not many Men would take 4 ladies to the Arboretum...

or keep a fire pit going during our gatherings...

help me get everything ready...help with the clean up...

encourage me to keep doing it...

 



 well you know you are good friends...

when you let your friend try out your hearing aid...

and it actually works for you....

 

 I love peacocks...isn't this the coolest idea ever....

 

 the squirrels were going crazy...

the Arboretum was using pecan shells as mulch...

I think the squirrels checked every single shell...

 these gals know how to have fun....

they were deciding how to pose...

Can't believe it is hump day already...

my Hubby has to have a procedure on Friday...

all prayers would be appreciated...

keeping positive thoughts that all will be well...

Hotrod thinks his Great Grandpa is cool....

maybe this is where Hotrod got his love of cars....



spending time with him...with my family....

is very special to me...to all of us....

He calls to check on me...

if I don't post everyday...he get's concerned...

if I stay out to late (with the Hubby)....

he grounds me...(lol)

which is good...cause I usually need a week to recover...

 after a beautiful weekend...

we are cloudy and chilly....

but that's okay...

we had the sun for several days...

I'm not going to be selfish about it...

 

 I have a dilemma...what do you do...

when you see bruises on a friend...

this friend suffers from many illnesses...

so the bruising could be caused from the medications...

this friend did not try to hide them...cover them with makeup...

 

 do you just keep a closer watch...

do you say something...

we didn't notice them the night before...

it's hard to know when to but in...

when to sit back...wait for the correct timing...

 

 I love to people watch...

Ms. D was telling a very animated story...

I didn't hear it...but I could tell from her actions...

I tend to make up stories for people I see out in public...

I put them in roles...decide where they are from..

if they are married or just friends...

what they do for a living...

I have a very active imagination...

what they are discussing...

I wonder if  I am every right....

 

 I've noticed Owls are very trendy in our area...

you see owls on everything...

I remember WAY back in the 70's they were popular too...

 

I almost felt a little wiser....

looking through an owls eye...



 The Cowardly Lion....aka Mom....

we made coffee filter wreaths at our Girls Craft night....

 

 it is a super easy craft...

inexpensive....$3.98 for the wreath...$1.00 for coffee filters...

a glue gun...glue sticks...something to poke the holes...

I used a sharpie pen...my Mom used an unsharpened pencil...

 

 Mom did hers with the brown coffee filters....

the rest of us did with the white filters...

you can do so many variations...

plain..or add sparkle...color...bows...

it was a fun gathering...with fun ladies...

sure did miss Linda....

but you have to go see those grand babies....

their things always trump girls gatherings...

 

 

Sunday morning we got up...

Hubby and I met my Mom and Ms. D for breakfast...

then Hubby chauffeured us ladies to Dallas Blooms...

a brave man to take on 4 talkative ladies....

he was a real trouper....

 how could he resist these fun girls...

71 and 67 years young....

 

 thanks to Ms. D. and Hubby for the photos of me...

they insisted that I wasn't behind the camera all day....

so I followed directions....did what I was told...

 

 the weather was beautiful...

sunny skies...in the low 70's...

Mother Nature was at her best today...

 

It was an awesome day....

the beauty around us...

the time with loved ones...

the peacefulness....

batteries recharged...ready for a new week...

 



 oh my goodness....

I got to meet Mr. E....

he is so tiny...

and so sweet...

so lovable...

beautiful...

even though my Hubby says none of them are pretty at first...
he says it takes a while....
well if he ever gave birth...
he might change his mind...
 

Little E has a flock of woman around to hold him....

he has his own Posse already....giggles...

 



my daughter fell madly in love with him...

I'm sure she will get lot's of time with him....

just don't tell Hotrod...



we were cold this morning...

but it did warm up...and the sun was shining...

I can handle that...

even had the yard guys come today...

 

it seems like the weeds took a growing spell...

 



I got my onions planted today...

Hotrod got his planted in his garden tub too....

Hubby over bought...so we have plenty to share...

looking forward to the weekend...

 



this has been an odd week...

do you ever feel like you live in the "Twighlight Zone"...

that is how I have felt this week....

 



not that it has been a bad week....just different...

seems like everyone around me has had personality changes...

some for the better...

We had a nice 31st anniversary....

 



The Eagles were awesome.....

but the arena was HOT in our area...

at first I thought it was just me...

cause we had to climb so many stairs to get to our seats...

but it was still HOT after sitting there...

I had to sit and fan myself...

I notice others doing the same thing...

We went out in the lobby area...HOT there too...
I asked someone that worked there...
she said the talent had asked for that temperature...
I really find that hard to believe...
the only floor that was cool was the ground floor...
I've decided to write a letter..
I don't want my money back...I just want them to know...
how disappointed I am...
we left early...it just wasn't enjoyable....


 I think I like the smaller venues better...

now...how would you like to ride in this car...

there were lots of cool cars and trucks at the show...

 

today I finally got to get my hands on baby E...

he is just adorable...so tiny...

smaller than both of mine or Hotrod...

 

I got a few shots of him...

we are planning a photo shoot really soon...

 



 today we were also furniture movers...

our family exchanges furniture quite often...

my Mom bought a chair...

she gave my daughter 2 chairs with ottomans...

plus a screen...we got a antique mirror...

it was my Nana's...

picked up from Mom's...

went by to see Baby E...

took furniture to daughter's...

picked up chair...delivered to Mom...

then it was time to pick up Hotrod...

I'm plum tuckered out....



 

today has been a nice day...

so many nice folks sending Happy Anniversary wishes...

 



we are counting down the hours...

till we go see the Eagles tonight...

I'm very excited...

 

I've been to lots of concerts in small venues...

this will be in a large venue....

I've only been to a few in large venues...

 



looking forward to another big weekend...

girls night...we are making a coffee filter wreath...

a visit to the Arboretum on Sunday with the girls...

the weather is suppose to be nice...

soaking up every moment of it I can...

I had to do something hard today....

I had to set limits on a friendship...

I'm not sure how they feel about it...

they did not respond to me...

we will see...
