Happy Birthday...Merry Christmas...
Happy Anniversay....for a long long time...

 Halloween...the last day of October...
where has the time gone...
I've been busy this week...
getting my calendar in order for November and December...
there is so much to do this time of year...
and I don't want to miss a thing....

 StringBean is Superman this year...
I got to go help with his party at school...
11 four year olds...high on sugar...
wooo I survived...but barely....

 the weather is finally co-operating...
I've been able to ride my Ladybug...

we have been to the park a few times this week...
but today is the first day I took my camera...
I enjoyed my time just doing park stuff...
but today I felt the need for photos...

Stringbean is becoming more and more a GUY...
you know doing GUY stuff...hanging out with the GUYS...
it is a great thing...
but it makes this Oma a little sad too...

he liked it when I laid on the ground to do photos...

 a GUYS only swing contest....

Rooster had to get in on the action too...
this photo wasn't great so I just played with it...
nothing seemed to work till I did the Super Hero sketch...
on PicMonkey...
we had a nice time at the park...
little breeze...little sunshine...
great company...
Stringbean liked twisting on the swing...
after lunch...he went sound to sleep...
Yeah Park...
Yeah Nap...

After going through the farm on Saturday...
we headed down to the lake...
String Bean had a blast on the concrete slab...
climbing up and sliding down...

Friday we made jack o lanterns...
3 to be exact...
this is the baby...
designed by String Bean...

This is the Momma...
she is a bit scarey....
A String Bean and Paw Paw design...

I learned something new on PicMonkey...
of course I have to play with it...
like my long lost twin....
The Madsnapper...
Sandra...you are rubbing off on me...

it was a busy Monday...
didn't get much melt down time over the weekend...
can't believe Halloween is this Friday....
Time is passing too quickly....
my November and December calendar is filling up fast...

I had my weekend all planned out...
Hubby...Son and Stringbean were going out of town...
I had all kinds of projects I was going to do...
have some ME time...
then....
work called...Son's truck needed working on...
so....
My plans changed....
Stringbean and I went to a festival at Penn Farm on Saturday...
he spent the night Friday night...

Now the calendar says it is the end of October...
but here in Texas...
it was 90 degrees...
you all know I love summer...
but it was just too warm for October...
This was his favorite thing of the day...
A metal pedal tractor...
oh boy did he love it...

 he rode it several times....

we also went for a carriage ride...
these horses were so tall...
I think their legs were as tall as me...
(well I guess that isn't saying much)

we stopped and had a snack...
after the snack we went down to the lake...

we probably should have brought our suits...
I think it would have been warm enough...
it was a fun outing with my little man...
Last night I had my Fun Girls night...
we went to Linda's house...
Linda's Life Journal...
we had a fun time...laughing...eating...laughing...
a cute craft...
I didn't take my camera...only my cell phone...

now you know why we call ourselves...
The FUN GIRLS...
Our fun craft...
Thank you Linda....
she supplied the paints...and boards...

but it sure come back to me quickly...

it sure makes you appreciate traveling with just one 4 year old...
10 of them are really busy...
it's like trying to herd cats...

they did manage to sit still for a few minutes...
to have story time...
She was the sweetest lady...

everyone brought $1 and got to pick out a small pumpkin...
after the pumpkin patch was lunch at a park...
with lot's of running...
chasing...climbing...sliding...swinging...
yelling...laughing...falling down...
Stringbean had a blast...
and took a nice long nap when we got home...
too bad Oma didn't get one...
looking forward to a Fun Girls Night on Saturday...

a view of our new library...
suppose to open the first of next year....

I really love all the benches we have....
with nice views...
but usually the view is behind the bench...
so you miss out on it...

this is a nice covered pavilion....
great for a big Family picnic...

this is at our Veterans memorial...
 pretty flowers...
pretty water fall...
a great Memorial for all who have served our country....

 a nice woodsy view....
still no Fall changes in the leaves...

Today was a nice day weather wise...
I had lots of errands to do...
I got to start dinner a little earlier today...
I put a meatloaf in to cook...
the timer went off...
I pulled it out...
was pouring the excess juice out of it...
all the while telling myself...
don't drop it...
had almost all the juice gone...
the pan slipped out of my hand...
dumped all the meatloaf out...
so I had to start all over again...
ugh....not fun...
thank goodness I had the ingredients to do it...

my String bean is not a baby any more...
he is growing up too fast for this OMA....
he is learning to shoot a bow....
his Mom and Dad shoot bows...
Pawpaw is showing him how he does it...
all the while String bean is telling Pawpaw how it should be done...

 he showed up this morning...
one pants leg partially tucked in his boots...
the same way his Pawpaw looked when I met him...
always one pant leg partially in his boot...
never on purpose...just the way it ended it...
one of the things that endeared him to me...

 today was a busy day...
full of BOY things....
bows and arrows...
rocks...
 Hill climbing with his dog....

Athena was with him all the way....

Next was putting on his tool belt...
filling it up with his tools...
I've got work to do OMA....

the girls got in on the action....
Athena was trying to borrow a few tools...

then they decided to go for a pick up ride....
next step a little carpenter work.....
yep a real hammer and a real nail...
he worked really hard getting that nail through the wood...
Pawpaw got it started for him....
he worked on it for a good 30 minutes...
only hit himself once...
Oma gave a few whacks...
while he rested his arm....
he finished it up...
very proud of himself...
all this was done before lunch time...
after lunch he rode his tricycle and Oma rode her bicycle...
we had a fun filled BOY day....
on a beautiful Texas day.....
