Rain stopped

My daughter bought me the clear/blue umbrella for

my birthday last month...has come in quite handy lately

Here's the cute rain coat she got me from Target

We woke up to JD barking announcing to us all

a storm was headed our way...sure enough BOOM

thunder.....big down pour....rained very hard for a few minutes..

then slowed down for a little while... now it has completely stopped

and the sun is shining....a lot of action in about an hour.....

it might dry out long enough to mow...then we are expecting

rain this weekend...maybe it will wash away the Swine Flu...

they have closed Fort Worth School district for a week...

Texas seems to be getting a lot of reported cases...

I have been giving out hand sanitizer to my family...reminding

everyone to wash their hands frequently...watch out for

coughing sneezing people....they all work out in the community...

I work from home but still being cautious....

Spring Rain

Well it's raining again here in Texas.... good for the plants...

makes me lazy......I need sunshine to function properly....

looking at the bright side....my plants will be happy.....

In July we will be begging for rain....

Tuesday Make-over

This is the spot behind my little building..

it has always drove me crazy...

I've added the rocks to make a small bed...

added the stepping stones...still not happy

A friend of my Mom's gave me 4 trash bags full of

cannons that he dug up from his back yard...

so I planted them....then I decided to put mulch down

I started digging through my husbands junk

( I'm sorry his inventory as he calls it)

and I found these pipes....thought they would make

good planters.....jew will grow anywhere...

I made these from Salt dough recipe

I am painting them black and red

and putting a photo of my son and future daughter in law on them

They are party favors for rehearsal dinner....

I know this is a weed...but I just loved them when I was a kid

blowing them into the air.....

My airplane plant and jew are perking up

this is my little bird bath...needs to be cleaned out

the birds make such a mess...

Honey suckle...another favorite when I was a kid....

My mums from the fall are starting to bloom again

I cut them back this winter and here they are again...

Choices

We make alot of choices every day...things we don't

really think about....red light....green light....

one way....left turn....right turn...straight forward only

right on red...no right on red....

It reminds me of live in general....one wrong turn

can cause you a lot of problems....one left turn

can bring you something you have always been looking for..

some people follow the law...some break the law...

some live on the edge...or think rules don't apply to them..

but most people like to live middle of the road...

do the best they can...follow the rules...

and believe they can get the most out of their lives...

by doing the right thing....I like to do the right thing..

I like to believe by doing the right thing...good things come back to you..

Watch out for gun toting women

Here’s one for the gun toting women:

This is a true account recorded in the Police Log of Sarasota, Florida…

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car,
found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle.

She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her voice, “I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!”

The four men didn’t wait for a second invitation. They got out and ran like mad.

The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver’s seat.

She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then it dawned on her why…For the same reason she did not understand why there was a football, a Frisbee and two 12 packs in the front seat…

A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake. The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn’t stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair and carrying a large handgun.

No charges were filed.

I was sent this e-mail today and thought it was to funny not to pass on!

$3 just in time for Easter

My daughter loaned we her camera and I went crazy

while I decide which camera I want to buy.....
