Wow what a year.....we found out last Christmas Day my son was engaged....in January we found out they would get married in April...
this was a year full of changes...my husband and I made a re-newed committment to our marriage....after 26 years you sometimes need a little shake up....thankgoodness for the best....we got a new daughter in law.....lot's of rain this year..... a white christmas....hubby and I went on several road trips this year...something that we haven't done in a while because of work and children commitments...hubby got a motorcycle...we spent a lot of time on it (still do...just put on the ski pants and jacket)...and down at the river fishing....it was a wonderful summer....we played basketball at night....played cards....big changes with the kids grown....we cleaned out and got rid of a lot of junk that was weighing us down....I lost over 75 lbs.....made a commitment to eat healthy and to take better care of myself....added a new dog to our family....now we have 5......2009 has been a great year....and I know 2010 will be even better...we're going to be adding an addition in July(son and daughter in law giving us a grandbaby)......Our beautiful daughter is doing good...bought herself a brand new car this year....still dancing....teaching dance and loving live....what more can you ask for...
Happy New Year everyone....I am enjoying getting to know you all....will be blogging a year in January.....learned a lot of things from you all....looking forward to a wonderful 2010....

Sunday updates...
Well I couldn't stand not having a Christmas tree at my house...
so as you see by my new header I put one up yesterday....took my
Mom shopping....and to lunch...and found this tree at the Dollar Store
for $10....so had to put bring it home with me....feels so much more
Christmasy now....Busy day yesterday...made fruit baskets for the neighbors...was going to do cookies...but thought I would be a good
influence instead of a bad one....

Helpful reminders...
don't forget to enjoy yourself...
don't sweat the small stuff...
Christmas is about being with the one's you love..
not about killing yourself to make everything perfect...
usually the best memories are the crazy things that went
wrong...This Thanksgiving my hubby cooked the turkey
on his smoker....well everything else was done...the ham...
all the fixings...but not the turkey....we ended up eating with
out the turkey....it was ready 2 hours later...and was the best
turkey ever...and the dinner was fine without it...no one
walked away hungry...
It takes weeks to prepare for Christmas....shopping...
wrapping...decorating....and 10 minutes later the presents
are open and you are throwing away the wrapping paper....
so enjoy yourself...enjoy your family...and
celebrate life.....make fun memories.....laugh...smile...
enjoy

she was 3 0r 4 years old then....
I was going through moving photos from my computer
to my storage.....and I couldn't believe how many photos
I have taken in the last year...so I decided I'm going to pick out
my favorites for the year and put them on a disk to give
to my family....kind of a year in review.....maybe this will be
a new family tradition....

Happy Tuesday.......
I've taken a little time today to try to catch up on some of the blogs I follow....I have so many I enjoy that I get really behind...it is so much fun seeing everyone's Christmas decorations...and getting new yummy recipes....and craft ideas....I tell you there are some really crafty ladies out there in Blogland...In January it will be a year since I started this blog...it has been a lot of fun...I have had to take a few vacations for personal reasons...but...always come back to see how everyone is......I have found a lot of nice ladies in blogland.....
This Christmas I have not been stressed at all....we drew names in our immediate family...so only one gift to buy....I got all my Christmas cards out with a family photo inside...all my business Christmas Cards with a employee photo inside....Christmas cards are one of my favorite things about Christmas...unfortunately people don't send them out like they did in the past....most rely on the internet or texting to send out messages...those are good too...but there is nothing like getting a Christmas card in the mail....opening it up...finding a nice photo...or letter inside....it is just exciting to me...
This Texas weather is crazy...it was 73 yesterday...and 30 this morning...no wonder everyone has the sniffles....oh well....that is Texas...if you don't like the weather...stick around it will change...then change again....
Happy Tuesday everyone...and I am Thankful for all my visitors....and bloggy friends....
