Early birthday gift...

an early birthday gift from my Mom....

this table is way way way older than me...

it has been sitting in a garage for atleast 28 years...

Mom pulled it out....

had a new piece of wood cut for the top...

and tiled it herself...1st time to tile...

doesn't it look great...

she took photos of the process...

when she gets them to me I'm going to share...

cause this table was in bad shape...

it belonged to my Great grandparents..

it was used as a kitchen work table...

look at it now...it is beautiful...

look at the chair...isn't is sweet...

a friend gave her the pillow...

 she turned it into the cushion...

I just love the color she picked....

I know proudly have it in my office...

a perfect place to make phone calls..

without the distraction of the computer...

been doing a little bird watching...

right outside my office window...

I'm so loving this new camera...

I'm not saying it too loud...

I don't want my little Kodak camera to feel bad..

we have been such good buddies...

and she still stays in my purse...

I think I've learned a bit about photography with her...

well atleast I've learned how much I enjoy taking photos...

much to the distress of my family and animals..



Dandelions

I thought this was cool showing two stages of the dandelion...

and they they are gone....

mistletoe...put to good work...

mistle toe...

if you stand under it with someone....

you must give them a kiss...

you could get a lot of kisses around here...

when we were at our friends reception...

a friend gave them mistletoe for their gift...

she told them...

when they have a disagreement....

stop...

pull out the mistletoe...

and kiss....

now that is a good idea...

and might save alot of time and energy...

because as we all know...

it's more fun to kiss...

than disagree...

as some of you may know....I've been trying to get photos of cardinals...

well guess who came to visit today....

Cedar wax wing

I was wondering what actually ate the berries...

now I know...

a cedar wax wing...

Happy couple....

it was simple...tasteful...and full of love...

they married a month ago...then went on a cruise..

his son was shipped off the Irag right after the wedding ceremony...

so they are saving the big celebration for when he returns next year...

a nice anniversary to look forward too...
