I've been blogging since 2008...
I have met some really nice folks....
most of you I have never met in person...
but feel like I know you from your wonderful blogs...
and your sweet comments...
I even have a real life friend in Linda...from
Linda's Life Journal...
come to find out she lives in my town...
now she is part of our "Fun Girl" group....
blogging has been a struggle for me for the last 6 months...
to much to do...to little time to do it...
so I have decided to take a blogging break...
if you are interested in being friends on Facebook...
send me an email...
I want to stay in touch....
I'm not saying I will close down for good...
but for now...it's the best choice for me...

 my avocado...I started it from a seed...

I don't know if it will ever grow any avocados...

but it is growing...so I am happy...

 

 we have watermelons...

lots of baby melons...

some are on the fence...

Hubby is building little cradles for them...

out of old t-shirts....

it was fun watching everyone take a turn on the jet skis...

I think the adults were just as excited as the kiddos...

the men even more so...

of course they are all just kids at heart...

back to work Monday...

ugggg....

so enjoyed the weekend....

but back to nose to the grind stone...

until I can sneak off to the lake again...

 



 It has been a wonderful 4th of July weekend....

Friday started with me at the lake at 7:30 am...

getting our spot reserved....

 

I brought my flags along....

to show our true American Spirit...



 our jet skis finally running...

well...most of the time...

they still have a few kinks that need working out...

they got lot's of runs....

 

 this beautiful flower...is in my garden....

my Mom...

 young love....

ain't it grand....

my daughters boyfriend is definitely a keeper...

 

 we had a great group...

of family and adopted family....

kids and grownups...

we even managed to meet a few new folks...

 

 it was a beautiful day.....

fun people...

good food...

lot's of laughing and fun...

 

 "J" was our safety patrol...

he made sure everyone stayed safe on the jet skis...

 

 there is nothing better...

than seeing a Mom and child...

loving each other....

 

 except for maybe this tough guy...

tough on the outside...

squishy on the inside...

 

this was our table...

didn't take long to fill it up...

with special people...

good stories...good food...

awesome memories...

 



 Speed Racer....

I am told these are May flies...

they were all over the trees...

every time you walked past a Mesquite tree...

they went to flying...

we decided they looked more like Fairy's...

made it easier to  be around them...

they scared my poor niece to death...

she had never been around that many bugs at one time...

Yesterday Mom and I canned 12 quarts...

4 jalapenos...and 8 pickles....

it sure was fun working with her...

using the bounty from my garden...



well...when a photo doesn't come out right....

you know....

I just have to play a bit...

 I'm learning a lot about lighting...settings...

and fixin' what I got wrong...

 

 sometimes a little imagination...

turns an other wise ready for the trash photo...

into a one of a kind piece of art...

well...in my mind any way...

art is definitely subject to each persons thoughts...

or ideas...

she didn't have her hat...

so I just gave her one...

I'm having so much fun....

taking photos of these dance girls...

playing and experimenting...

and aren't they adorable little Guinness pigs...
