The Christmas parade....

we took the motorcycle to the Christmas parade...
it was a little nippy...
the fireman pavillion leads the parade...

the drum line...my favorite part....
love hearing the drums...
my son was in the drum line in high school...
lot's of walkers...
they are from a middle school...

nice floats...
red hat ladies....

the christmas spirit every where you look...

dancers....

shadows...and kids getting candy...

bookmobiles....

old cars..
pink panther and pink trees...

bikers...
almost bikers...

cub scouts...

and of course Santa Claus...

Our Christmas parade....
not as big as last year...
but still a nice way to get in the spirit...

Lot's of candy was thrown..
I even caught some silver beads...
Does your town have a parade?

It wouldn't be Christmas without....

It wouldn't be Christmas for us without a dance show...
we've been going to them for 19 years...
these little cuties are my daughters students...

the big girls...
Happy 16th birthday Elisa (on the right)....

Carina has been accepted into 3 colleges dance programs..
and a few more want her to audition....we are so proud of her
she is the one on the right...
my daughter started teaching her 9 years ago...
lovely ballerinas..

so much fun watching them all grow up...

the reading of the Nutcracker story...

and by special request...
the reading of the Grinch....
These are the parents of the owner of the studio...
another group of my daughters dancers...
I made the red skirts about 7 years ago...
they have been worn by countless dancers...
it's fun to see them get put to good use....

Twirl your skirt...or your shirt...

this little cutie was putting on her own show...
don't you just love how kids can entertain themselves...
and how there imaginations run wild....
adults should do that more often...
just have fun....no matter what others may think...
so if you get a chance today...
twirl your skirt...and dance to the music in your head....
just make sure someone's not video taping it...LOL

New day dawning...

This is the view I saw out my bed room window...
the clouds almost look like mountains in the back ground....
there is just something magical about a new day dawning...

still hangin on...

the morning glories are still hanging on...
the vines are dying...
but the flowers are still blooming...
last night was a blast....
busy day today...

JOY

It is a busy time the next several weeks...
I'm going to try my best to just enjoy them...
not fret...not worry...not obsess...not freak out...

we stay with my FIL this weekend....
some where in between I need to decorate...
finish Christmas cards...and get ready for my
Christmas ornament making party...
the dogs are very stinky....in desperate need of a bath...
my house....well I don't even want to think about it...
I could loose my JOY really fast....

The leaves are hitting the ground....

Fall colors have hit my back yard...
and the leaves are hitting the ground...
most of the time our leaves go from green to gone...
getting to enjoy a little color this year....
planted some cactus today that my Dad brought me...
Little Britches and I enjoyed the warmer weather...
planning a Christmas ornament making party...
I'm stealing I mean borrowing ideas I have found..
on your wonderful blogs...
A new friend passed her citizenship test today...
we are so proud of her..she is from Romania...
now she is a US citizen...
Welcome to America Camelia....

Berries and cards

we have lots of berries on the trees and vines this year...
I don't remember seeing so many last year....
I think the birds are really enjoying them...
working on getting my Christmas cards out this week...
I love Christmas cards...not many send them out anymore...
but there is nothing better than getting a card in the mail...
I even enjoy the Christmas letter...finding out what everyone
has been up to for the past year....
Do you do Christmas cards or Christmas letters?
