I love cloud watching....

I'm always amazed by the sky...

one direction you can have dark moody clouds...

turn to the other side...

white whispy clouds.....

Stringbean and I like to look for shapes...

objects...then watch them change into other shapes...objects...

puffy big white clouds...

blue skies...

always a favorite...

 Hubby and I went to the park....

it was full of Cardinals...

 they are tricky little characters....

I used my long lens get these photos...

to 

 I love cardinals...

they always make me smile...

my Nana used to always say...

when you see a Cardinal...

you will have good luck...

I think the good luck is just seeing them...

even the females make me smile...

we saw a lot of Mockingbirds also...

Mockingbirds like posing...

I guess that is why they are ...

The state bird of TEXAS....

anyone know who that is?

never seen her before.....

I don't smell food....

what's that in her hand?

I don't know...

but it's making a clicking noise...

I think we should move in a little closer...

nope...no food....

but she looks nice....

 H Ferrell Hog Bottoms is located not far from us...

I've been wanting to stop and look at the animals...

so on Sunday...Hubby stopped....

 I tromped through the mud...

stuck my long lens through the fence...

 at first they were a little stand offish....

the Rams never got to close....

 the donkeys were more curious...

they had to see what I was up to...

it was drizzling rain...

but so worth seeing these beautiful creatures....

 the last remnants of snow....

 the sun came out on Saturday...

something we haven't seen much of...

so Hubby, Rooster and I....

went to the park...

the we headed to the lake...

 the perch pond has filled up...

at the end of  fall it was really low...

 a sign of Spring coming...

families out fishing....

 it was a beautiful day for sailing....

the gulls were having a lot of fun....

it was so nice to get outdoors...

really does clear the mind...

we got some exercise in....

when we got home...

Hubby cooked some pork ribs on the grill...

I cooked Cauliflower mashed potatoes...

(no potatoes just cauliflower)...

a nice salad and Sweet Potato chips....

a nice end to a nice day....

will it ever end????

I don't know how people that have real winters do it...

usually in March...

we are having picnics...

not snow....

staying off the roads....

only venturing out to take a few photos...

Come on Spring...

I need some outside time...

The sun is shining...first time in a week...

Texas closed again

 well I've decided....

I'm just going to ignore the nasty weather we are having...

 it may not be Spring outside...

but it is Spring in my head...

in my heart....

 I pulled out some older photos....

they gave me the spring feeling...

I'm addicted to The Voice....

I love all the judges...

 I feel so fortunate...

that I have such a handsome...

sweet...loving...hardworking son...

and that he let me do a little 

photo shoot with him...

he doesn't like being in front of the camera...

not sure who he got that from....

 I did some Valentine photos...

of him and Stringbean ....

best Valentine gift for me....

 no one or animal get's a break around here...

they are all fare game around here....

they are my classes...

I get to play with my camera...

learn to use all the settings...

then play with them in PicMonkey if changes are needed...

 or if I just want to play....

I was looking in the storage building for something...

I ran across the bumble bee costume...

it had belonged to Nolan and Jake...

so I got a bright idea...

put it on the rabbits...

Buster didn't mind...

Duke didn't like it at all...

he tried to chew it off...

maybe he needs western ware...

another idea for play....

Can you imagine if I ever have a granddaughter...

oh boy you will really get tired of me...

 we are having some crazy weather here in Texas...

having all four seasons in just a few days...

 We even had a 3.5 earthquake....

Mother nature must be going through the big M...

 well at least spring is around the corner...

we are doing a family veggie garden this year...

it is a lot of work for one person (me)to keep up with...

so I enlisted the family...

we are in the planning stages...

will order seeds next week...

 Hubby and my son will do the tilling up...

the ladies and Hotrod will do the planting...

we will all help with the weeding...

The Rabbits are helping with the fertilizer...

Athena and Ginger have been doing a lot of digging in the garden

area...so maybe the tilling will be easier...

they will be in for a big surprise when they are banned from the 

garden area...

 be sure to let your dandelions grow...

they are great food for the bees...

we want to keep the bees well fed...

so they will take good care of our plants...

and to produce lot's of honey....

plus they make great cargo...
