Wow Christmas ornaments have changed...

wow Christmas decorations have changed...

remember when it was just red...green...silver...and gold...

silver icycles...now they even have orange trees...

saw them at Garden Ridge...

my favorite ornaments are the home made ones...

My FIL complains about his neighbors Rooster...

thought I might get him that Rooster for his tree....

Do you do a theme with your tree..

or is it a hodgepodge??

just thought they should go together....

found these mums a few door down....

 if you look closely you see this fellow...

not real clear....

but he just kept on with his business...

as I snapped away....

The Rake....

it is that time of year here in Texas...

the leaves are just now starting to fall...

I usually leave mine in my flower beds ....

to keep them safe from the winter...

believe it or not I do enjoy using a rake...

My niece made it...

he loves touching everything with his feet...

loves to kick in the water....

we played in the sink the other day...

letting the water drip down on his feet...

he kicked and splashed...

then scooted down into the sink...

so we had to change clothes...

he would look up at himself in the mirror...

and just laugh...then splash more...

I have so much fun with my little britches...

I am thankful to be little britches Grammie....
No news on my new niece....
she's being stubborn....

Aging looks better on objects....

rust and shadows...

I love the swirl in the middle....

I always enjoy looking at the different patterns...and textures...

from the sun and weather...

I guess that is what happens to us as we age...

I'd rather look at it on objects though....

I am thankful my new niece will be joining us any time now...

Labor has started for my sister in law....

Weed...or flower..still beautiful...

beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

I am thankful I can see the beauty in both....

It's a little chiller here in Texas...

we had rainstorms on Friday....

and tons of wind....

I now have a cold...thought it was alergies...

but believe it is a cold...

I haven't had one in two years...

took it easy yesterday...feeling better today...

I love theraflu....

Did get out to do a little craft shopping...

I can't believe all the Christmas out...

I want to enjoy Thanksgiving first...

They don't even know it....

Guardian Angels....

sometimes they come in all different forms...

maybe a parent....

a teacher..

a grandparent...

a perfect stranger.....

Every day there are people that step into help...

maybe open a door...

let you go a head of them in line...

give you a smile when your feeling down...

a handwritten note...

a compliment...

a hug...

I am thankful for all the caring people of the world...

the ones that make a bad day good...

and they don't even know it....



Leaves.....

Little britches and I went for an afternoon walk...

we saw some really pretty leaves....

thought I would share a few with you....

the leaves are just starting to fall here in Texas...
we never know from year to year when we will loose them...
some years they are all gone by Halloween...
some years it's Thanksgiving...

I am thankful for my family....
each and everyone of them add something wonderful to my life....
