my hubby has a new toy....
you know how it is with boys men and their toys...
he built himself a sling shot...
he also built one for our son...
one for a friend...
even Rooster is enjoying watching his target practice..
we are having some nice weather here in Texas...
my hubby has been using a slingshot since he was 4...
as a kid him and his brother spent most of their free time..
chasing varmits with their slingshots...
I'm sure a few windows...birds...etc..
were in harms way....
even the other brother....
a time or two...
Forty something years later...
he's shooting targets...
pumpkins....cans....etc.....
the varmits around here are safe....
well not from the dogs...but from the males...
when I looked through my camera lense...
I couldn't help to imagine a 5 or 6 year....
instead of a 49 year old....

Oh Deb...they are all the same!! I have a 60 (almost 61) year old and he does the same stuff...he wants to fly helicopters around the house with the grandboys...
Wow! That is a nice sturdy, powerful looking sling shot...haven't seen one in years. I wish my hubby would play with toys...he needs to move around more than he does...too much TV watching. Hugs

men are just tall boys.. this sling shot looks very much like the one my dad made for my brother back in the 50's, he accidentally killed a Jay and cried his heart out, he never aimed it or his bb gun or rife at anything living after that. they are fun to play with and i would be out there too

May he never outgrow having boyish fun! :)
They'll be teaching Little Britches soon enough!
Actually looks pretty fun to me. I could toss George's toys with it.
